This past weekend 40 patients from the Inland Empire came together and travelled to The State Capitol in Sacramento to lobby with Americans for Safe Access for AB2312. This bill, AB2312, would clear up much of the confusion surrounding current laws (SB420, Prop 215) and would also further protect patients and dispensaries by issuing a statewide system to legally provide for and regulate the commercial distribution, production, and sales of marijuana for medical use.
Call the members of the Assembly Appropriations committee, which deals with financial concerns, and tell them:

"I am a medical cannabis patient/supporter who wants to see a safe and well-regulated program in California. I am calling to ask you to vote yes on AB 2312 in the Appropriations Committee this week. This bill will pay for itself through fees paid by thousands of applicants. It will not cost the state anything, but will certainly result in increased sales tax revenue. Sensible regulations reduce crime and complaints around medical cannabis. Please support AB 2312 to help protect patients and communities â?? without spending any state money. Hundreds of patients and advocates met with every legislative office in the capitol in support of AB 2312 this weekend. Now we need one final push to get this bill out of committee and onto the Assembly floor for a vote. We can do it, but you must act today. Make these calls and make a difference!
