Seeds from 25-30 years ago

Hi, first post so as an intro hi my name is roc and i'm a pot head

anyways i have some seeds that i acquired from my father the seeds are from his early thirties he's 64 now he sold a lot when i was younger as a result i now have in my possession a lot of really old seeds now originally i was going to ask if they would still be abel to germinate/grow but i already have a plant growing its 2nd week from seed (learn how to germinate from your site ) bout as long as a normal index finger outdoors not in the smartest place tho very temp anyways i did not plane on growing it into a full plant but then someone said i could have a few lost strains and that i shouldn't waste the plant so is there a way i can like really lazy grow it, very tight budget and is there a away i could maybe get lab work done on the seeds not sure if this is the rite place to post so i apologize if its not o o and i wana try and make clones of every strand in the future but don't have the funding just yet ty

do you know any of the names? there are a lot of people that wish they had a clone of a plant from that era.. Shit, I'm one of them.

how many seeds do you have?

and where is your rough location? if its stateside we are just hitting planting time for outdoor on the west coast..

@Douglas well i honestly dont know the names for the seeds i kinda inherited them... my father was the one collecting them only prob is he has stage 2 dementia..as for the seed count i have 4black film canister full i do know some of the seeds come from hawaii,jamaica, west Virginia,north Carolina... but i have no idea of the strains thats why i needed the lab work o and i live in the washington D.C. area/maryland the oldest container is from 1980 its the only one i haven't opened im a good dealer but i have no idea how to go about growing the plant i started as i've only sold and smoke never grown...the pic of the plant is from the seeds from 91" any ideas on how i can go about finding the strains?

Damn that is awesome, too bad about the names though, and I don't have a clue how you could identify them short of comparing them to existing strains.. but the time gap will make that difficult as well.

man, if you ever want to get rid of some to a legal med grower... I'm pretty envious

hmm so i guess i should start looking around the forums a bit more might try to grow some of this if its going to be some kill then id might as well make a lil doe but i got a lot to read up on no since in messing up some good erb if all the info i need is on this site guess now i gota search shit thanks tho dude real wrap

You may have something awesome there my friend. Trust is a hard thing I realize this, yet if you want to speak with me about germinating/growing/sexing/cloning and breeding some of them I would certainly stay in touch and when the time came I would be here for you to return some seeds .. lemme know if I can Help you

well that would be most helpful and i actually have a brother who lives in Hawaii and im almost positive thc ministry shows up on his fb page think i will have to check it im almost positive ive seen that somewhere b4 tho, might make a trip out his way i know the climate would be better and last i checked hes living off the land so seclusion would be covered well i have been dealing/working to support father but ima have to take up a 2nd job i think to fund this cause as it stands rite now i just don't have the extra cash to start a good set up...might just go wv the weather their sucks but they have some of the best mountains to hide shit in as for the info can give me a good ball park estimate at how much money i would need to put together a great grow room for the erb because i really don't wana waste a signal seed it be like loosing a whole generation of strains...so ive been reading but any links to threads for extreme noobies would be helpful so far i've read threw about 50-60 threads on ( starting ) btw guys im not opposed to sharing my seeds cause i see no point in a beginner(me) starting with seeds that might not even exists anymore nor do i want to be that guy that so or there any like professional growers near DC/MD?

I've been looking for those old school genetics that were coming through in the 70's/80's. THose are like holy grail to many growers. I live in DC/MD area and I've been getting my seed collection back up and I'm working with any and all genetics. Anything that DOESNT come from a seedbank. I don't want their hybrids and the stuff they bred. I want to work with my own landrace or natively grown strains. If there is anyway I can help let me now, just keep in touch.
