2 foot bagseed plant is baffling me
So i've been growing this plant for at the very least 2 months (max 3 months) and there has been no sign of male or female preflowers. Is this because the light change needs to occur first? I am also just starting to control it's light intake. I'm covering it at 5 o'clock in the afternoon and waking up at 5 to uncover it every day. If there is any easier, but still inexpensive, way of doing this? I also want to try some cloning but im not sure if what i would be cloning is female or not. The only thing im pretty sure about is that its an indica judging from the leaf shape. Any advise/criticism would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Normally the plant will tell you its sex when it starts to bloom which is near August.
If I were you I would leave the plant alone. It looks too small to even bother to force it to bloom. Wait until the weather gets better and the plant will get stronger.
After 3 months I would expect it to be bigger, maybe you aren't getting much light or the bag seed has poor genetics.
I think you should just let the plant run its course, let it veg all summer and in the end you will have a much better chance of getting a big yield in the end of October.
Why are you cutting off the light at 5pm and 'waking up at 5am' to lift off the cover. I understand that you are trying to force it to bloom, but why don't you just put the cover on the plant at 5pm and then take it off 'before' you go to bed and let the sun rise itself ?
Anyway, if you want to get a good yield you nee to leave your plant veg much more throughout the summer. You won't be sorry if you do this.
Growing weed is all about patience.
Don't bother with cloning until the plant gets bigger and use the bottom, lowest branches. let your plant alone and it will reward you. Take some clones in 3 or 4 weeks.
Take Care

I've read that if you leave a plant veg too long it will take much longer for it to bloom and fully mature and the buds will be significantly smaller. But this makes no sense to me. I'd rather let it grow to the fullest and at the very least get a good amount of hash in the end. If this thing keeps growing like it does I'm gunna have a 4 foot plant by the end of august. Hopefully it still goes unnoticed.
