Newbie, questions on Ventilation for closet

Hello I'd like to start off by stating that I've spent probably the last couple hours reading tons of info on the site and have read the cannabis grow bible by Greg Green. I have not performed a grow as of yet so am still an amateur trying to prep as best possible for when I do start.

My concern, I rent my apartment and so there for occasionally do have my land lord come through my home. Granted so far never has there been reason for him to go near where my grow room would be I'd rather be safe then sorry. So I'm wondering about ventilation for my plants health and more importantly my safety having people who need not know or approve over on a regular basis.

Info on the space. I have not yet taken detailed measurements of the space so these are rough. 43"(L)x42"(W)x10'(H) the height being the biggest guess based upon my own height. there is a shelf about oh.. 6' something up along with a pole to hang clothes. Door is hung on hinges like most. Next to this closest is a long closet with the sliding doors in which we hang our clothes.

My plan so far has been to build two of the DIY carbon filters I've seen here on canncom and several other sites one to filter the air exiting my grow room and one to filter once again upon leaving the filter system. Also to suck the hot air out. And install a fan at the bottom to push in cool air. So what I'm wondering is since I'd need to drill holes in the separating walls in your guys/gals exp would you say that this plan would be acceptable? Better recommendations? Questions?

Quick mod: So far planning on a 6gal tub using bubbler hydro as in the the Cannabis Bible, for two unknown strains(bag seeds)

couldn't find the mod button again.(can you only mod once?)

but another quick question is that i have no socket in the closest should i get a professional/land lord to install one? can i do it myself? recommendations? My understanding is extension cables pretty much = safety hazard and don't live alone so not willing to risk others let alone myself.
