    My first grow ever

    Hello all

5 days ago i have germinated 3 seeds of NirvanaShop's Blue Mystic regular. Main reason i went with this strain was because they promoted it as having a neutral smell and it's a small plant. I am growing it on the balcony because i dont have the space nor the luxury to make a special growing space.
After reading some posts on the forum i found myself asking am i doing it right?!
So now I have a few questions:
Does the plant need direct sunlight? The light comming trough the balcony windows is diffuse.
Also the temperature drops a lot at night (15degC)compared to daytime(30degC). Should i move them somewhere warmer?
It seems that male plants are not smokable, and there is a big risk that all 3 of my plants could be males. Should i plant more seeds?
I tought that sex would be determined early and i planted them in 3 separate 250ml soda glass. Should i plant them in bigger pots now ,before the plants grow too much?
The plants look great and they grew verry fast (10cm the tallest one)

    Thank you

    My first grow ever

i'm no expert. i'm experiencing my first grow now. my plants are about 18in tall now, and despite some grower error, they are doing well, i think. i'm sure it will be safe to grow these sprouts a little bigger before transplanting. the cups are transparent though. that's not good because light is bad for roots. if you see roots through the cup, transplant into dark solid colored pots. use pots at least 10 cm tall. i transplanted mine when they had 4 or 5 leaf sets.

i never learned to use metric measurements, but i read that ideal temp is about 80 degrees Fareinheit. cannabis will grow in temperatures from about 60-90F, i think.

you can smoke male plants, but because males have very low thc levels, most growers don't waste time growing them. also, a male plant will fertilize nearby females causing seeding. by eliminating males, female plants will grow seedless buds. it is likely that one out of your three plants will be a female. whether you should grow more at this time depends on how much time and money your willing to spend on your project and how much space you have to dedicate to it. you will have to nurse the plants to flowering to determine their sex or make a clone and rush it to flower. 12 plants occupy considerable space in a controlled environment and require regular attention.

OP, first mistake... Do not use clear "pots" or in this case clear cups. Take 'em up or put solid cups around those!
Exposing the roots to light is not good for the girls.

Make sure there's holes in the bottom of 'em too.

Next time you transplant, put a layer of rocks or clay balls at the bottom to help the roots breathe.

They will not need a lot of light now, but soon they will. You could start looking around for fluorescent lights. Any will do, but specifically, a T5 at 6400K would be the perfect light right now.

Also, keep an eye out for lights or bulbs that are around 3000K, because they are good for flowering.

U can put them into bigger pots now. just lift the entire thing soil plant and all out those cups and into a pot. make sure to put in a lil soil before though then fill in the gaps water it and boom wait for it to get bigger.
