you and I need to stick together. (today I have been granted permission to post.)

like you, I can't find many posts about container grows on a patio and I'm on my fourth growAttachment 284599.

not willing to grant the authorities too much info, I'm in a sub tropical climate in SE Asia. needless to say, temps here exceed yours but I had no trouble last year or this with heat/humidity in the growing.

let's hope that we can get some attention from this forum.

there is this meme out there that the plants go to flower with 12/12 sunlight. I cannot confirm that as the local seeds I grew last year didn't seem to care about light and continued to flower until I finally pulled them in Feb and Mar! they had 120+ days in flower and I never found trichs going amber. I conclude that the genetics have a lot more to do with things than light.

as to forcing processes along, I don't read kind words about that from various forums for outdoor cultivation. indoor growers veg at up to 20 hrs/day of light and then force them into flower by denying them light for as long as 3 days. outside, I don't think manipulation is advisable or even viable. let the plant do its thing.

distilled water is OK, but contains nothing that could be of benefit to the plant, either. I have well water here; no chemicals. pH of 7, neutral. but this water is also stored in a tank in my house, so it's rested before it hits my plants and on top of that, I always have a watering can full on the patio. I'd guess distilled water doesn't hurt but is going to get expensive as your plants mature and grow.

I'm going for as organic as I can, so can contribute nothing about your additives.

lots of problems here that I'm trying to overcome. the first has been really poor selections of potting soil. I may have cured that, but will post a question on another thread to get more expert advice.

the most devastating issue I've faced was spider mites which almost killed this grow entirely. last year I had problems with a feral cat chewing the tops off my plants. if my photo got through, I built cages to discourage that cat, as you can see (?).

best luck and let's keep in touch.
Farang Reviewed by Farang on . Roofterrace Grow in hot country, advice sought. Hi All, had a scan through the posts but couldn't find anything relevant to my situation. I purchased feminized seeds online for an outdoor grow and am growing on my roof terrace based in the south mediterranean... Not particularly overlooked so I believe security is OK. Germinated the seeds fine, transplanted them to small pots and they've been growing great for about a week now. Here's how they look: 284334 Bearing in mind that its 80f everyday here and the plants are getting sun from Rating: 5
