Have to agree with my friend PhatJay. He gives consistently good advice. But I'll say this, if you do your homework, really do you homework, then you can start out at slow jog. I jumped right into scrogging when I started and did pretty well with my first run. But I read non-stop for six weeks before I started. I knew I wanted to scrog so I used that as my starting point.

Vertical lighting is very efficient if you have the space. Recognize that the back side of the plants will not get as much light. Some people spin their plants every few days. You can use an HPS for both veg and flower. Until you get the grow cycle really dialed in it won't make a huge difference for you.

I do recommend keeping it simple. Don't go buying tons of additives and nutes. The more variables the harder it is to pinpoint issues. Good luck!

Indoor VERTICAL growing method Ok i plan on starting my grow start of june, but i still reading and taking notes and planning ahead :) Im wondering has anyone used this type of method (hanging your MH/Hps light vertically) Im thinking of creating a box, maybe 5 foot wide, 5 foot deep and 6 foot high. Putting 4 pots in a diamond shape on the ground and 2 plants on either side of the box 1 foot off the ground. Leaving me with 8 plants in the area. Use a 400 MH light hung in the centre of the box and then replace that with the Rating: 5
