First grow, first of many Questions

:hippy: alriiiiiite....finally decided to set up an account and start gettin serious bout wanting to grow...i hear this is the place to ask and get some quality information. Ok well my plan in full is to get seeds, rent a house wit a few friends, begin to grow 5 seeds (indoor grow), have a nice time growing, and an even better time smoking! I wont be renting and begining the grow till june but id like to be prepared so my first question is - Where will I get seeds online that can be trusted? I live in ireland. Question number 2 - I would like a good strain that is maybe 20-25% thc and relativley easy to grow for a virgin to growing. Suggestions? A good yield would be sweet too. As i said i wont be ordering till middle of may, wit plans of growing start june so take yer time replying.

First off, Enjoy. This is definetly a "fun" hobby with great rewards. A little advice. Again , everyone is different but I would germinate about 10-12 seeds in hope of getting 4 Solid Plants. Male or Female. The reason I say Male is because if you plan on growing , keeping a male in your "camp" will ensure you never having to buy "seeds" at 10$ + a pop.
So , Start with 12 plants or so , and cross your fingers you get a couple good girls in that and a good male plant to pollinate with. I bought from a company outta Amsterdam called
Dutch-Seed Passion Co. , I have yet to get a female from the 10 seeds I ordered. I germinated 5 Cali Orange buds and 2 died early and the other 3 were Males. Now I have germinate the other five and hope I end up with better odds this go round. I have heard great things from The BC BUD Depot. " GOD BUD " strain you can't go wrong with and a couple rares are Mulanje Gold and Malawi Gold. They say it's fairly easy to grow and creates great yields. If I remember correctly , THC % is between 17 -20. It's pretty hard to get THC levels up at the 25% range unless your buying it outta the dispenseryin California. Like the OG Ghost Haze strain. I am not a Master Grower just started , but had a great first grow , just from doing tons of research. Roots by way of County Cork - an ended up in Sunny Phoenix, Arizona.

Sweet bro, thanks for da reply. Haha cork to arizona, probably a good move! Ya well thats great to hear you got a great grow with your first, gives me hope that i wont fail miserably haha. Ya about the whole seeds and male and female, i plan on getting 5 feminised seeds but since posting my original post i went on to the Herbies Head Shop that is advertised here and i could get female seeds and they give you some free seeds that more then likely i think will be male beacuse they dont usually just hand over free feminised im guessing. So in this case i could have my guaranteed female seeds and a possibility of some male to breed Im curious, if i had say 10 seeds planted and growing, How much room would i need??? and how much lighting would 10 pots need??

I'm a little biased, but wanted to let you know that Rhino Seeds (link in my sig) is reputable - and we're based in the UK.

Our homepage has a seedfinder that should help you find the right seed.
I filled in a few things for you and came up with Super Iced Grapefruit by Feminised Seeds and Night Queen by Dutch Passion.

Super Iced Grapefruit is a Diesel/Chronic mix with 650 gr/m2 yields (if you do it just right) and high THC levels.
It's recommended for indoor use, it's beginner friendly and it takes about 8 to 9 weeks of flowering.
The great thing about this one is that it's absolutely guaranteed - no questions asked.
With Feminised Seeds, they'll replace your seeds if they don't work out - even if you screwed it up.

Dutch Passion is one of the most popular breeders out there. They're Night Queen is an Indica with high THC & CBD with 500 gr/m2 yields (again, if you do it right). It's a little more old-school than Grapefruit, but still billed as beginner friendly.

Of course, automatics are always popular with beginners, but you have to be careful to get one that has a good yield and THC levels.

alright mate, i'm from ireland aswell and have got seeds from Herbies lots of times and never any problems. i dont think you should be thinking of breading on your first grow, you might end up with a grow room full of seeds and not much bud to smoke.

vanella kush and northan lights would be good plants to start of with,
the V.Kush has a high THC% and can grow very big. i'd say you need about 100w of light per plant so 10 plants = 1000w light or at least two 400w.

Do they give you da few free seeds as advertised? Ya i had my eye on that vanilla kush, looks good. And i was thinkin maybe THC Bomb feminised too. Wit da lights i tink we'l jus splash out and go big wit da 1000w, caus da house wont be used much so der'l b no elec been used on dishwasher or wash machine or any of that shit. For the one light hangin up above 10 3gallon pots, wat kind of area will it cover? bout 5ft x 5ft?? You have a big grow in operation yourself or how u doin?
