Greetings Growers,

My name's Adam and I'm starting my first grow. With this post i would like to solicit advice and instruction from one interested fellow who is willing to keep posted. I have researched much and will do so with all my inquiries. but still so many questions are presented by hands on operation, and many different answers are voiced in reply. my grow looks nothing like the videos.

i have successfully germinated only about 10 percent of bagseed in distilled tapwater for 24-72 hr/transferred to paper towel for c.72 hr the seeds are big and seem to have trouble breaking the shells.

soil is miracle grow pot mix with time rel nutes. one 75w output flourescent white light. 1 wk old sprout 4 leaves. still has round ones it sprouted with. leaves are broad. the tips are turning yellow? another sprout 2 days old. stretched stem. will transplant upto round sprout leaves in 10 cm pot today.

can someone tell me why the tips are turning yellow? i have researched a hundred vids, and come up with a hundred answers. i don't want to have to post pics. not much to look at. plant looks healthy. bare tips yellowed. no curling or burning or sagging or stretching. i don't think its light associated. the box is not well ventillated and doesnt' have any source of co2. the soil is retaining water, haven't watered since potted but spray leaves regularly with lite mist. doesn't seem problematic yet. will transplant to 5 gal bucket today. will begin veg under 250 w cfl. in mylar tent in a few weeks. could the yellowing be nutes? or ph? i can't really test the ph. really tight budget now, but will grow the op incrementally.

Those sound like symptoms of overwatering kick back on the water they love it when u let the soil dry out between watering. I myself make sure the top 2-3 inches are completely dry till I water again and she love s it

you won't believe this... dog ate my plant...

he was watchin me transplant. turned for a second, and my plant disappeared. whatever. got more seeds just like it germn.

successfully transplanted new sprout into 8 in pot of new soil: miracle grow moisture control pot mix. the stem was stretching daily. does that take away from leaf growth? so i buried it up to the leaf base. medium was flushed thouroughly pre trans. i think the last sprout may have produced more bigger better leaves because it was close to the lamp since birth and didn't stretch.

75w flouro is 3 in above sprout. any advice about this light situation?

i'll be using urine/disH2O sol for nitro during veg. made fresh daily! when is good time to begin feeding?

when will plants need co2? is the yeast/sugar method effective? i can probably get a tank easily.

now using 500 watt white cfl. much better growth now. have a 600 watt hps and 400 watt mh, mylar otw. plants are healthy. will transfer 7 plants into 5 gallon buckets in 6' by 20 in closet/grow room. think i'll veg a lil while longer and experiment w LST. i want about 6 big plants with lots of tops and kolas and giant buds. will post pics of finished grow room. for $180 i got both lamps used on ebay, and more than enough mylar for an xt 20. so $200 so far. will invest in fan system soon too. these plants are about 3 weeks old. its been experimental for me, so i think they have grown more slowly than ideal, but results seem positive. check out the pics. can some one offer me some advice about the questions in the thread topic? i think my plants may want some nitrogen soon. they will begin having 7leaves soon, and nine soon. i think i have a sativa and an indica. 500 w cfl/ 3 sq ft is effective thus far. how beneficial is co2? is it worth adding? when should i begin lst and topping? links anyone? thanks.Attachment 284382Attachment 284383Attachment 284384Attachment 284385Attachment 284386
