(which are compact fluorescent) would that work to get at least a mother plant in veg for a while then switch to flower? or would I need to add additional light to support the mother plant into and during flowering? i've been growing for a good few years now and have always used cfl's for veg'n with 2 fluorescent tubes from a fish tank (6500k) for side lighting, it works grand for me in veg and then used a 400w hps to flower them (4 plants). a friend of mine has too 200w CFL grow lights one blue spec, and one red spec and he's more than happy with his plants,
his buds will not be as big or as tight as mine done with 400w hps but he has'nt had to buy weed for years and thats all that matters is in it,
