Do/Does ferts that make buds bigger decrease THC??

So pretty much my friend has always been using a extra bloom supplement from Bigfoot called Charge along with his regular feeding program. I believe I read and I have heard that plants can only create a certain amount of THC and since charge is designed to make your 'blooms' massive lol, It seems like a catch 22. what would you rather get yield or quality. Now is there any bearing to this? I'd really like to know because my friend could honestly care less well I shouldn't say that, but shes always preferred quality considering its just personal; so I was just wondering everyones thoughts on this, keep in mind it don't have to be charge but bloom supplements in general. Well the plant can produce a limited amount of THC depending on the strain, I believe, it's just the way the plant is grown. How adjusted it is to receiving ferts, and the lighting or grow area, etc. The full THC potential can not be killed by adding ferts to the blooming stage. This concentrates the THC to the flower and uses minerals that are needed for full, healthy flowers. Very good question!:thumbsup:

You're correct every strain has it's maximum thc potential or limit, but as long as the plant is good and healthy the thc level doesn't change no matter the size of the mature buds. It doesn't go down as the buds get bigger. The lower "popcorn" buds usually aren't mature yet and will vary in potency.

Ahhhh okay. Im very glad to hear that I was partially incorrect. I let my friend know to keep doing what she's doing. Now another question which has got me thinking, which may have been the partial reason why I misunderstood what I read years ago, so for instance lets just say somehow the plant she had grown maxed out here thc content, and she didn't use any budsize increasers, now if she used them would that result in a lower thc or is it more like lets say a plant has 15% max thc content so it doesnt matter on that plant if you yield 28 grams or 500 grams, the thc content will still be 15% irregardless of yield. Correct. Regardless. The total potency of the bud is 15% (example). That means every bud will contain 15% pure THC. Thus meaning a healthy plant with large buds at full potency is a ridiculously great smoke!

THC percentage just tells you out of all the cannabinoids found 15%, for example, was THC. That gives you an idea what the QUALITY of the high is.. given the tHC/CBD ratio.. but it has nothing to do with potency. Lets say a gram of bud has 10 trichomes and each trichome contains 15% THC, 2% CBD, 1% CBN and so on. A a gram of bud that has 25 trichomes and is 8%, 1.5%, and 1% respectively would probably be more potent because you are taking in more with each toke. What I'm getting at is these percentages don't tell you how much Cannabinoids are there in all.. it's just a ratio
