First indoor grow need advise/help asap

    Hey,
I made a stealth grow box out of my old ps3 box in my closet. This is my first grow and I need advice. First off will a 40 watt regular white light bulb work if I have it close enough to the plant? because I read that the plant will grow slim and tall to try to absorb light but I don't know if that will happen if I have it close enough to the plant. And is it good to put a worm in the soil to fertilize the dirt or will it harm the roots? And my last question is about how long will it take to smell and around what week can you determine the sex? I germinated the seed and planted it and it just popes out of the dirt yesterday and their bag seeds so I don't know what to expect. Also any advice from experienced indoor growers would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
Oh and one last thing theirs these little root like things with red tips popping out of the soil what does this mean?

Ok, the white light will work for a limited amount of time, and leave it on for 24/7 this will allow the plant to stretch, don't put it super close and don't put it a ridiculous amount of space away, you want the bulb 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches off the plant. You will have to probably find a way to double, triple, or quadruple your lighting if you plan on running basic lighting. The stink will come basically whenever you choose to start flowering it. That's when you start your 12/12 light cycle. But wait until the plant is mature enough. Also the red tip could just be the type of strain. Show us some pics. The worm fert. is very nutrient filled but you may have to watch for nutrient deficiency later in the grow. The best thing to do is check the lighting part of the forum, the indoor stealth grows part, and do some forum thread searches. Also you're trying to grow a 2-5 ft plant in a game system box.. SO you may have so SOG or SCROG that thing (Google these). Or tie it down and do tons of trimming. Also early force flowering may be needed. But not too early, patience is super important. Fans and ventilation are a huge part too, and so is a regular watering schedule. I hoped I answered a few questions man. Lemme know what's up.

It's clear you have done absolutely zero research for yourself...
I would really prefer to answer questions for people who have at least tried to find out for themselves...
Anyway... You simply cannot grow a plant under a 40w incandescent light bulb... The plant will not receive the light spectrum it needs and will die.
There are 2 stages of growth; vegetative and flowering.

Veg is when the light is on 18 hours on and 6 hours off. The least you will need for on plant at this stage is a 40w CFL in the blue spectrum (6300k, daylight, bright white) 6300k helps with root, stem and leaf development. You will need to increase the wattage as the plant gets bigger and keep the bulbs very close but not touching.

Bloom is when the plant is about a foot high, up to you really when to bloom. For this you will need at least 100w of CFL inn the red spectrum (2700k, warm white). 2700k is the area of the light spectrum that promotes bud development. You can lose the blue lights for this stage if you want and replace them with the red.

Don't put a worm in the pot... its pointless... just be sure you get some good soil before you begin.

You will start to smell the plant if it grows large enough to smell anything. Usually the 4th or 5th week in my grow.

I really wouldn't advise growing in a PS3 box as its made out of cardboard. You are risking burning yourself to death...

If you want to know how to get respectable results then follow my first grow. The link is in my signature.

you have a lot to learn, but don't we all.
