First of all, I sincerely appreciate your time BT, I know you're a legend on these boards. But let me clarify a bit. This is not being directly ordered by the courts. In the court minutes it said "finish any counseling deemed necessary". The components of the counseling involve going to 16 group sessions and then an exit interview with the drug test. This company just happens to only drug test at the end. I was basically just told, "pick a company and complete their rehab program". I know one of the competitive companies actually does randoms, while the one I chose does not.

THATS why I'm really unsure. Because obviously these counseling companies are not following any certain guidelines, rather just creating their own. Now I know they can just make me sign an agreement to be observed, and I know of course theres no definite way anyone on this board would know if they will observe or not.

But having said that and clarifiying that this is actually not court ordered, just something the company does. I was just wondering if anyone on this board has experience or knows anyone with experience that did a private/3rd party behavioral clinics in the southeast, and what they encountered, and if they did infact get observed. From word of mouth and friends that had similiar experiences, the probation officer would always observe, while the counseling they had to go to did not and just told them to go to a bathroom and piss.

I hope that explanation clears up what kind of test this is, because while its necessary to be released from probation, really the test is not so much required by the court as much as completion of the program. And these people at the clinic are already super laid back about extensions, being late, missing sessions and so forth.

I know that's really gray BT, because the program completion is court ordered, but not the test...the test is just required by the company... kinda like if you get a speeding ticket and just pick an online class and the completion of that class is required by the DMV, but the DMV doesn't actually do the written test, the online site does. If that analogy makes sense?

I truly hope this was short and sweet enough while shedding light on the scenario so maybe someone can help. Really appreciate it guys, cause i'm tip-toeing at the idea to just delay it a week and at least give myself 7-10 days clean.
