I will probably still just write in Ron Paul's name. Not that it makes any difference because we don't get to vote for the president anyways. Its called democracy and we don't have it.

Would love to see a Ron Paul/Dennis Kucinich ticket. It might put him in a better position publically to take the lead come election day. Both a very similar in there stand on a lot of different issues. Would be great to see 2 opposing party members work together to resolve our problems.

you assume too much. just because some of us enjoy discussing politriks doesn't mean we are not aware of the shit that is going on behind the scenes. I would have disagree with you about Democracy. Take a look at the Swiss they invented the idea of "direct democracy" as opposed to our form of indirect "representative democracy" we have here in the US. The only thing we have close to this in the US is voter sponsored inititives, the statist's worst nightmare. :twocents: Without this form of direct democracy we would likely have never seen medical cannabis in the US. I'd like to see national direct democracy myself, it is the only way we will ever take control back from our "representatives" in congress.

Nothing wrong with a democracy. The problem is it comes in all different sizes and shapes. People still call us a democracy because we do resemble one. The only real difference between a constitutional republic and a democracy is that in a democracy you actually get to vote for your leader, we don't.
A true democracy would be great. We get to start voting for out president and I think we should change the constitution to make the house and senate just basically secretarial positions. Let them draft the bills, let voters vote them up or down. You would see the end of 1000 page bills. More than 2 or 3 pages and people would just vote against them which would be good. As long as the Bill of Rights is left intact it doesn't really matter what form of government you have. Governments are not there to grant civil rights they can only inhibit them. In our own constitutional republic the power needs to be transfered back to where our forefathers invisioned it, state power. Cut the federal government by 80% and let the states do there jobs. Corruption is a lot easier to control at the state level than it is at the federal level.

we need a national version of the State level voter sponsored inititatives that would trump congress. Its the only way we would ever be able to do really radical needed changes like gutting the federal reserve, keeping a balanced budget, ending all these endless needless wars, etc. :twocents: I'm not sure how we would get there, tho.

our current representative form of national gov't is an outdated and corruptable middle layer that is not needed. its like microsoft windows, it can be corrupted. :rastasmoke: and it this case it is obviously corrupted beyond repair at this point and needs to be eliminated from the equation.
