Best Light Spectrum Colour For A CFL Grow?

Hey im going to be doing a PC Grow Box grow soon and will be planting 3/4 auto flowering dwarf/lowryder plants. I will be growing using CFL lights and have been doing a little research into the best colour spectrum to go for however i haven't really got a definitive answer. Now i have the choice between red, blue and purple and i was just wondering which one i should go for.

    Many thanks in advance

For veg you need 6300k daylight/bright white bulbs.

For bloom you need 2700k warm white.

That's all you need in CFL.

Maybe you should think of growing in something a bit bigger than a PC case.

You can make a good grow box out of plastic storage boxes or old cooler boxes. People will pay no attention to those boxes.

Having a bit more space will give you a much better yield. It's just something to think about. Plants will do better when they have about 30cm each to spread out.

Anything less than that and your plants will begin a battle for the light and they will put too much energy into growing taller than the others. This gives less energy towards bud production.

I experienced this on my last grow. I had to kill off some plants so I could get a good yield.

    Good luck with it.

you might have some troubles finding 6300k CFLs tho normal most common 6500k will do the same job.thats what all my mates are using anyways.and good luck with your grow..

I just started my first grow using a Mr Grow Pro PC case. I like the idea and using LST or SCROG methods, you can get a very good yield and do two plants in there easy. Use a strain that's fast growing and stays short, like low rider or diesel. As for light temps, my setup came with two sets of CFLs: 5000k and 2700k. I'm using the 5Ks for veg and will switch to the 27Ks for flowering.

So far, my seedlings seem to be happy about 3-4 inches under the lights with a 24/0 cycle for now. I'll soon switch them over to an 18/6 cycle or something close to that.

I use 4300K for both grow and flower with good results. My flower tank is a many holed SOG grow and aI have a little LED added to the CFLs.
