Ireland Hey all, So my LED light arrived from the US to Ireland today. Unfortunately the manufacturer had 'LED Light' and beside that 'Hydroponics" clearly written on the packaging for everyone to see ! So I had to sign for the package today because I had to pay â?¬60 in taxes to have it. Customs stopped it, opened the attached document in the plastic cover and proceeded to read everything about the contents in the box. WTF ! That doesn't sound right to me. Rating: 5

Not from Ireland, But I have a question: Is it illegal to grow your own vegetables and fruits in Ireland. If not, than its none of their business what kind of growing you are doing. Id maybe wait a few weeks before starting up. But like I said, they have no idea what kind of growing you are doing..

wouldnt chance that..my mate ordered ballasters and mylar last year and customs got theyr hands on them. 2 months later his and his parents house got raided.lmao he only had 1 plant growing.and he was lucky got 200e fine and 3months probetion.

Crap ! If cannabinoidz is right then maybe I should hold off on letting my friend do a grow for a few months... It will just mean that she misses out on her first crop.

This isn't good. Cannabis-Seeds sent me on 10 seeds to try out but my tent can only handle 4 plants... Hmmm... I could send her 6 seeds outdoors though.

Any advice on what sort of plants she could grow over the next 3 months as a decoy ? Wonder would Chinese roses do it ? Or different types of cactus maybe.

I think it would be a very good idea for my friend not to grow this time around. The cops will take her whole set-up if she is found growing weed. Th light alone is worth €400... and the tent €250.

Anyone got any ideas on this ?

Have her plant some of those decorative bushes, the ones which leaves are similar to that of a pine tree. You can grow them as tall you want and thereby you'll have no limitations on the height of her weed. Just a thought.

Im looking for ideas on plants she can grow in the tent so if the cops arrive she can simply say she is growing something like orchids instead of weed.

This should take the coppers off her trail. And she can also see orchids in the market.

You should wait at least 6 months, I live in Ireland too and its absolute war on weed here at the moment. My neighbour had two small plants growing and the GardaÃ* bust him and he got a large fines totalling €850.
