    First Ever Grow!

ok so around 3-4 weeks ago i was havin a smoke down a mates house, he picked up some new bud and it was lovely. nice lump of chocolate chunk. anyway he had loads of seeds from the bottom of the bag and i thought id give it a go, (didnt think anythin of it) and 2 weeks later i got a nice looking plant and another bad lookin one. planted a new seed 3 days ago and its lookin much stronger than the other ones already as its had a better boost of light, i only kept the other ones on my window sill for 2 weeks. but now ive put two lights in a box. (11w and 14w) i know this is wrong and my next target is to get a 125w cfl blue spectrum bulb. then to get a 250w red for flowering. il post some pics. hope you like! and please i know im not givin it everything it needs right now. im workin on it. feel free to comment and give a brother advice, thanks for reading!

before i had any sort of lightin except the sun!

    Hey,

OK, first off take those straws off the plants asap. You will choke them later on. The plants need a slight wind for 15 minuts ever couple of hours to make the stems stronger. Get a fan.

Secondly, Fill the pots to the top. I dont understand why you filled the pots on half way. Fill the pots up, carefully, to the first set of leaves on the seedlings and then get the fan on them.

Thirdly, put the plants outside as much as possible to be in a real breeze and to get some sun. You should really consider planting outdoors. Your plants will thank you for it.

You will get a much, much, much larger yield if you plant outdoors.

hey thanks for the feedback. im onto the fan thing. will have 1 up and running sometime today. i am plannin on keepin the one that aint doin to good outdoors but i want to wait till they get a little bit bigger first. if i fill the pots up with more soil they will prob be touchin the bottom leaves. is that a problem? thanks for the advice, really appreciate it.

Hi there, theres no need to upgrade your bulbs stright away to so high wattage.of coarse it depends from price..i had couple grows before with 7x20w 5600k bulbs and later changed them to 23w 2700k and i still think that using good few smaller wattage bulbs is much better than using 1 big CFL cos when plant gets taller there isnt enaugh light for the bottom leafs when using couple smaller ones you can accually adjust them easily unless you wanna start tieing the plant down.

6500k for veg and 2700k for flower tho you can allways mix them up a bit as well.
