    Simple question

If my plants got shaken up a bit and knocked a few trichomes off like 60% of the way through the flowering cycle will the plant have them replaced before harvest?

Should be fine... But how did something like that happen?

    Simple question

Purely hypothetical, I am asking because an impatient stoner friend of mine told me he is gonna shake some trichomes loose from his plant and make some hash.

That ain't gonna work homie. At least... I'd assume it won't work, and with pretty good reason. If you've felt the trichomes on a living plant, they're pretty much a gel. A very very sticky gel, so even if they could shake loose, 99% of the time they'd just stick to whatever is next to them. Just feel a stem or leaf with some trichs on it and they'll just smear into a liquid on your fingers.

So if your buddy wants to shake his plants up a bit, make sure he knows there will be no positive outcome. In addition to that, trichomes do not = THC, trichomes contain many different chemicals, and throughout the maturity process those chemicals break down and form new chemicals, and different levels of those chemicals appear high at different times. One of those chemicals is THC, so basically what I'm saying is the potency or "strength" can technically vary even if the number of trichomes stays the same. Patience... if it has trichomes, you've already waited long enough haha.

Like Snow said. It really wont help. If you want to make hash early. Trim some of the lower branches off and use those for hash. That's what I do, since the lower branches don't get much light the nuggz are usually wispy and small, but best for hash! You should Google what types of chemical compounds are found in MMJ. if you want to be stoned you are looking for:

"Cannabidiol (CBD), is a cannabinoid found in Cannabis. It is a major constituent of the plant, representing up to 40% in its extracts.

It has displayed sedative effects in animal tests. Some research, however, indicates that CBD can increase alertness. It may decrease the rate of THC clearance from the body, perhaps by interfering with the metabolism of THC in the liver.
Medically, it has been shown to relieve convulsion, inflammation, anxiety, and nausea, as well as inhibit cancer cell growth. Recent studies have shown Cannabidiol to be as effective as atypical antipsychotic in treating schizophrenia. Studies have also shown that it may relieve symptoms of dystonia.

In November 2007, it was reported that CBD reduces growth of aggressive human breast cancer cells in vitro and reduces their invasiveness.

A 2008 study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry showed significant differences in Oxford-Liverpool Inventory of Feelings and Experiences scores between three groups: The first consisted of non-cannabis users, the second consisted of users with THC detected, and the third consisted of users with both THC and CBD detected. The THC only group scored significantly higher for unusual experiences than the THC and CBD group, whereas the THC and CBD group had significantly lower introvertive anhedonia than the THC only group and non-cannabis user group. This research indicates that CBD acts as an anti-psychotic and may counteract the potential effects of THC on individuals with latent schizophrenia.
