Simple Light question...
okay so I went and bought some Sylvania 120w 120v BR-40 Spot-Gro lights w/ Blue Spectrum to help along the vegetation of my clones, beings I am a complete noob clonging didnt go so well... We are going to crop in about 3 weeks and have been very lucky and successfull but the cloning was a trainwreck, I know what to do now but that doesnt matter cause I cant clone off the mommas anymore but I think one will pull through for sure, anyway I digress...So I have heard from my partner in crime (Xsphere253) that these lights are no good for marijuana cultivation....
He doesnt say this by experience but by something he read, so I wanna make sure before I return the bulbs, and if they work thats great if not, I take em back, so let me know pls as soon as possible so I can use them
or possibly not....
Thanks folks

Those are light bulbs are crap; your friend is right. You have only these options for growing:
- florescents. the more, the better. the "enhanced spectrum" or "plant growth" ones are better, but standard cool white florescents work good for initial growth, and if you have a bunch of them, can be used for the whole life cycle. for a couple of plants, try to go for 200W or so of floros, and keep them an inch or so away from the tops of your plants.
- HPS. High pressure sodium. More expensive, works a hell of a lot better.
- MH. Metal Haldide. Works good in some cases, not as efficient as HPS, expensive.
- Sunlight. The best, but hard to regulate, and if the sun can see your weed, someone else probably can too.
