[FONT=Comic Sans MS]hi y'all i found a seed in my pot and thought i know i will try and grow it.
well what do you know it is now about 3 inches tall if not a bit spindly.
i am not doing anything fancy as i dont know how, i just put the seed in some cotton wool to germinate then into a five inch pot with some good compost and some miricle gro and keep it watered and it seems to be working.
MY QUESTION IS how do i know if the plant is male or female and if it is male can i take a cutting off the plant and will the cuttings also be male or female or both any info would be a real help keep it real
wayne also i am keeping it under halogen lights in the kitchen how far away should the lights be.[

A: wrong forum, you want Basic Growing

B: You can't sex a plant until they have begun flowering, and yes, any cuttings taken from a mother plant will retain the same gentics as the mother and grow females.

C: ditch the halogen, sunlight from a window is better than the super narrow light spectrum coming from that bulb. Get a Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium light if you're serious about taking it to the end.
