(Pistils) are what the hairs are called. And NO you cannot go by the Pistils, You need to go to Radioshack or somethin and get a microscope 50 - 100X Zoom:

Once you get this, look at the trichomes and you want 50-80 % Milky and the other 30-50 % Amber, Depends on how couch locked you plan on gettin. The more Amber the more couch lock. This is the real way! Check the FAQ's
killfrenzi Reviewed by killfrenzi on . Time to harvest? PICS! It's only been 4 weeks of flowering but it's a tiny plant grown on a 5-inch pot, and the trichomes seem to be getting milky... Is it going to be ready in a few days or a couple of weeks? ps. There's also pics of my other 3 plants, 2 of them doing pretty bad, but it was down to soggy soil (bad mix from the start) and overfertilization (probably as result of poor drainage), I took them out of their pots , carefully ran the faucet over the roots for a while and then trasnplanted them to a bit Rating: 5
