    Time to harvest? PICS!

Well, I'm starting to think my friend wasn't too mistaken. The plant is very small so he is correct about the buds ripening faster than what's common with avergae sized plants. The buds seem almost 50/50 white brown pistils and I can see some amber trichomes now!!! I think I'm just a few days if not less from harvest! Whada ya think?

...sorry if I'm anxious but it's my first time ya known...

Oh, and I plan to leave it in a dark place for 48 hours like J. Cervantes says when ready... Does this mean 48 hours after peak harvest or does one calculate 48 in advance to harvest right at peak THC?

daozen Reviewed by daozen on . Time to harvest? PICS! It's only been 4 weeks of flowering but it's a tiny plant grown on a 5-inch pot, and the trichomes seem to be getting milky... Is it going to be ready in a few days or a couple of weeks? ps. There's also pics of my other 3 plants, 2 of them doing pretty bad, but it was down to soggy soil (bad mix from the start) and overfertilization (probably as result of poor drainage), I took them out of their pots , carefully ran the faucet over the roots for a while and then trasnplanted them to a bit Rating: 5

I grow tiny plants (12" tall) and they do not mature quicker than larger plants of the same strain.

I hope you manage to sort out the right information from the wrong information, as there is a good mix of both in this thread and from "your friend"

Here is a pic of one of my smaller plants on harvest day. This was a spare cutting that I didnt have the heart to throw away, even though I didn't have enough room for it under my 2x250w CFL lights (It sat in the corner of my grow room).

    Runt of the litter

    That bottle is 13" tall.

Thanks for clearing up the smoke Phat! That's nothing but good news to me, I'm patient! Bigger buds yey!

Looking at the pic? was that LST'd? Man those leaves look damn nice and green, I pressume you use chem ferts? It does look like a slightly bigger pot but now I'm sure the "smaller buds ripen quiker" is a myth, thanks!

Just one question, I forgot to put it on the darkness chamber and accidentaly left the plant for a few hours longer than usual under some light coming from a light post on the street, will that hermie the plant or will it probably be ok?

No LST, the main cola tipped over because it was too heavy for the little branches to support it. I had to tie it to a stick to stop it falling over. I got about 3/4 - 1oz off that little plant.

A bit too green, that plant was overfed. That plant was from one of my earlier grows under CFL and I was overfeeding. Yes it was chem ferts in coco.

That pot was 8 or 10" and the plant didn't really have time to make full use of it imo.

Not sure to be honest. Keep an eye out for male parts and make sure that you do not make that mistake again. Light leaks are a big no no.

right, that's also probably why it became limp.

If I see any can I just snip the balls out and it will all be ok?

yes, from what ive read if it turns hermie, you can snip the male parts out and it should be okay, be careful though so it does not pollinate the female parts.

It was "limp" because the strain had thin stalks and was a massive yielder. Every person who grew this strain had to support it somehow or other. It had absolutely nothing to do with anything I did.

You can if you spot all of them and get them before they open. But if I had a hermie I would kill it faster than a really fast thing.
