    Oh Mother!!

Hey all. I have 2 plants I am going to be makin mothers, 1 Void and the other is Purple Haze. I have a simple question for experienced cloners. I am wondering what ids your light schedule, and nutrients supliments do you use for your Mothers? I am currently on a 24/7 light cycle, and using 1/2 strength Veg nutes.

    Any ideas, comments or suggestions?

You're doing fine haha, I've got a monster mother and thats about what I'm doing right now. Very minimal on the nutes. The great thing about a mother is that you've really got time to let her show you what she needs, I'd continue the way you're going until you happen to notice that maybe it needs more or less nutes, though I'm doubting more is required. When I take a bunch of clones off of her I poke a rod into the soil around the outsides of the container to loosen up some soil and allow for fresh roots.

What size container do you have and how old is your mother?

Oh damn thats a big container for it, which is a good thing haha. Only problem with that size container is that once in a while you're gonna wanna transplant the mother, trim the root ball up a bit, get fresh soil around her, and the larger the container the harder that is to do. Depends how long you wanna keep your mother for though maybe you won't need to do that. My mother is huge... i'll measure it now quick...

Mine is 5.5ft tall and 30" in diameter including the container. Without the container its 4ft tall. Most of the height is its big tree trunk though, its nice and lollipopped at the top.

Hey Killfrenzi I got a good idea... since I got to reply to your thread here about your mother when nobody else did... you get to reply to my thread about some brown spots forming on the leaves of some of my plants, haha. Sounds like a fair trade right? I posted it a few days ago with some pics but haven't gotten any responses yet. Idk how good you are with plant deficiencies and things of that sort but I'm open to any suggestions at the moment. At first I thought it was a Mg def. so I adjusted that and it didn't change anything. Then I figured phosphorus, so I adjusted that.. didn't change. Flushed the soil well, and reapplied nutes to the proper levels... STILL forming some brown spots... it happens very slowly, and hasn't caused any real damage so I don't think its a huge deal, but still... its not the damage I'm concerned about. Its more so the stuff I can't see that bothers me... and by that I mean if my plants are low/high on a certain nutrient, they're probably not producing buds to their maximum potential, so I'm missing out on some yield/quality perhaps.

Take a look at it and lemme know what you think... the pictures in my post are from a plant thats been flowering for about 6.5 weeks.. and now that I think about it, I guess it could just be maturity/age causing it... idk, I give up haha.

    Oh Mother!!

I am also going to post you another link to a thread I started that you can look at. Its been going for a while so maybe you've seen it already, but maybe not. It has some pics of my mother I've been talking to you about, they aren't real updated pics, I'll have to get some new ones, but at least it gives you an idea on what I have.

The mother was revegged this last fall after I harvested it because I didn't know the genetics, and didn't want to lose those genetics either, so I tried it out, and it worked out great.

So heres a link, check it out if you want, I'll post some updated pics in there either tonight or tomorrow morning depending on how much time I've got.

    Enjoy!
