Noobie, confused. Sorry for the novel. Any help appreciated.
I apologize for the novel, and if there is already a thread. Please read, and help me understand.
Noobie to growing here.
Well, I have to admit...I never thought I'd get this far.
I'm a random guy, and I live alone. I figured it would be nice to have something to wake up in the morning for. And something to be excited about. Even if I didn't achieve anything, it was still worth a shot.
At first, it started out as just a little fun. And now, shit got real.
I started germinating seeds using the zip-lock bag, paper towel method.
That worked. So, I was stoked.
I planted them in Solo cups. And...They sprouted.
So it put a little bit BIGGER of a smile on my face.
I invested in Grow lights, with a good ammount of lights. Flourescents, warm, and cool. In different areas of the grow area. Perfect ammount of humidity and heat for them during the day and the night. Tin foil, even a temp/humidity gauge. And watering every so often that the soil was completely dry. I started them off in Red cups and eventually switched them to 7" planter pots. And after that, they just grew like wildfire. Which was really awesome to watch. I've never done anything cool. So, to me it was a big deal. Haha.
Out of this. I got 9 VERY healthy plants. This all started three weeks, and one day ago. My plants are 22 days old! This is my problem. I don't know when to force flowering. I've heard some people say that at 5 weeks. It's okay to start the flowering process. Keep in mind I never intended to go this far, and I'm not just going to neglect the plants that I've been babying. I've literally, babied, and held full conversations with these plants...While smoking a joint of their Mother (Sorry, Little plants) and zoned out with them. They are really lush, and green. And I haven't run into any problems. Except for this.
They are all Indica's (Identified by various people, as well as me, from learning a bit here and there.) But they are only 22 days old. And they are all upwards of 12 inches tall. Some are up to 14 inches tall. People keep telling me to flower at 12 inches, but some tell me not to until they are five weeks old. I want what is best for them. Because they've been like my children for this long. And over-all, it's been a really good experience. I've decided on a basic 12/12 light cycle for them. And this should be fine. Fertilized organically, Good soil, good rain water, and they've SKY rocketed. And that's not an understatement. I do not claim to know anything about the fine art of cannabis cultivation, or botany. So hopefully this forum is a little nicer and not full of a bunch of douche bags. Share knowledge, and I'll learn it. So, what should I do? Five weeks to flower? Or is it based on their height? Help me out? I'd appreciate it.
Note: Space is not an issue. I have around 10 feet of clearance overhead. And enough width as well.TopherJane Reviewed by TopherJane on . Noobie, confused. Sorry for the novel. Any help appreciated. I waited until they all had preflowers then switched to 12/12 and trashed the males.

When you put them into flower will depend on what kind of light, how much light and what grow style you are using. If you are using CFL's it is generally best to keep your plants on the small side as they have very poor light penetration. If you give some more detailed information, you will be able to get a better answer.
