    Overwatering or underwatering

    Attachment 282924Attachment 282925Attachment 282926
Started noticing this problem with the droopy branches/leaves yesterday morning and gave the plants all water because they were in a unusually hot environment at the time. Last night I moved them back to their normal 80F environment right at the end of their dark cycle and they all appeared healthy with no droopiness. This led me to believe it was just an underwater condition for such a hot environment. After being under light for 10 hours I checked on the plants again but the droopiness/lifeless branches had only worsened from yesterday morning. I researched some stuff and I have conditions for both under and over watering. I shouldn't have to water these plants daily, they normally get waterings every two days. There are two big ak-48 in the pictures, one seems perfect whereas the other has obvious problems. They both get the same waterings and same temperature swings. The top inch or two of soil seemed moist and not yet dried out enough for another watering. But I'm tempted to water them since that seemed to have fixed the problem yesterday. Any suggestions?

    Overwatering or underwatering

    ok im going to try;
    flower or veg?
    ambient air temp?
    cfm intake?
    distance from light?
    soil temp?
    newt temp?

    80deg to high sir,
need to drop to 70 sir,
key rule stay within deg operating temp day/night

they look dry in need of soil flush with 3oo pmm and some good old fashioned clean air, need flushed almost three days to bring back from such stress.
this dry wet extremism plants develop bamboo like stems when this happens all-tho it promotes extremeness in rapid up take it also needs water more often than normal almost everyday 1-2 cups. this bamboo like stem can be beneficial in its treatment and maintaining growth, but its not advised to practice method to much stress. hope i helped

They are being transitioned from 24/0 to 12/12 one hour a day. Currently at 18/6 and holding there until conditions improve. They spent last week at 90F and didn't get much fresh air. I'll take your advise on keeping them under 80F. I don't know what you mean when you ask for newt temp. The light, 400 watt hps, stays about 14-16 inches away from the tops and that's where I get my temperature reading from. About 300 cfm ventilation. whenever the light is on there is a recipricating from that takes a suction from the vent port on the tent. Climate is about 30-40% humidity. Thanks for your help

Yea entirely to high on the temp heat stress is a pain......
i run 68-70deg many 401k benefits from this temp.
is ballast in tent ? if so remove if possible.
sir, it appears you need a cooling or fresh air system....
    positive static advised....

    i slam my girls 24hr 5k in t5s to 8k 12/12 hid hps.

newt temp meaning temp of your feeding solution.

    always trying.....NF

Can't really tell from the picture but it looks like your pot size maybe to small. It could be suffering from being root bound.

very true, nice killer.... to which is my advice need to flush feed until plant is finished,
when this happens due to heat, water, temp stress and container size, these conditions exist.
to ensure that minimal root rot and newt uptake does not halt due to conditions in pot.

I don't like to root bound my plants but i do use tech in my veg room to control population.
i also use the tech of heat, water, temp stress to find x-fem.
i particularly like the uptake time with the bamboo stems its amazing once tech developed
its easy to train plants to immediately take up newts.

    always trying........ NF

    Overwatering or underwatering

Watering brought the plant right back to life. I've been watering every day now with about 1-2 pints of water a day. Temperatures stay between 75-78F mostly. The two big plants sit in 5 gallon pots so I hope they aren't root bound since I don't have room for anything larger. At the bottom of the container I have about 1 inch of perculite to help with water drainage and prevent root rot along with about 20 drilled small holes. I'll post some pictures soon. My nutrients get mixed into the water, all at room temperature. Do you prefer the t5's over metal halide? I've read a lot about growing but I find it difficult to translate a lot of what you're talking about nativeyorganicfarmer. I thank you for your advice, it saved my plant but I don't know what tech refers for controlling population and x-fem and what you mean by uptake time.

    Overwatering or underwatering

Good call killer... I am leaning toward your watering schedual being out of whack. I give my plants water every 4th or 5th day. I keep my room at 74 (seems to do pretty good) My humidity is at or around 60ish I have an air scrubber that draws 848 CFPM accompanied by an intake secondary that draws air from where we sleep (supposedly helps with CD saturation because of our exhale being immediately drawn into the grow room) Seems to be working well, then an oscillating fan set to high for circulation and defense against bud rott. I used natural beach sand to cover the top 2 inches of each 5 gal bucket to discourage gnats from digging in. I have a sticky strip that catches any flying insects and the 6x5 closet is completely double layered with 9 ply plastic sheeting with 4 emergency blankets on top of that for reflection purposes. All of this is being lit up by a 600 watt HPS with vent hood that is in line with my carbon scrubber (air goes through scrubber first then thru light then outside) All air intake comes from within the home. Neighbors have never been able to smell my little girls and company is never a problem. I do all this and my girls turn yellow from the top down. I guess what I am trying to say is don't panic, it's not rocket science and as soon as it stops being fun their is always the dispensary. Hope your girls perk up and yeild twice as much as you could imagine peace /(.Y.)\

Plants look dry as shit. Water them before you notice wilting that type of stress stunts growth.
