Ebb Flow Plant too large
I am just now starting week 4 of veg. I have my first ebb and flow setup and it really is doing great. I am using fox farms organic nutes and I will have to say it is so much easier than soil. So since this is my first time i really didn't know how they would fare... i planted 5 seeds and put them in my tub (I used the 9 gallon cement tube for my tray) I put them in a X pattern (4 corners and center)
Well as you guessed the center plant is doing amazing.. almost too good.. it is about 4x the size of the other 'girls' and it has started to choke off light to the other 4. It has about 3/4" diameter stalk and I have tried to top and fim and it just gets bigger. It is to the point where if i knew how to move it I would but I really have no where to move it. What do I do?
Notes on Grow:
9 Gallon Cement Tub for tray
Rockwool (2" cubes)
Hydroton
I have the plants in the rockwool and the rockwool in the hydron.. no pots which I now know makes things difficult... any suggestions?
Thanks all

You can try tying the large plant down and out. Go easy when pulling the branches into their new location, so you don't break the stalks.
Remember this next time and try to time it better. I would estimate that the height/volume triples after dropping the light to flower.
I'd probably just grow on 4 corners, next time. I'm not familiar with your setup, but I've been doing a 4-corner thing for a long time and they always fill up the space. The light might be split more efficiently, that way.

fluctuating temps also play parts in vegetable matter growth and inter-node spacing, try to stay within 10deg day/night, and lower temps create compact inter-nodal spacing, use to use 1000 hid mh went to t5 for veg promotes short inter-nodal spacing along with cooler temps its like using bushmaster.
other is the foot print of your hood to consider the bigger and broader the better the foot print and even canopy light. i use para on 50in centers in 20x20x8Ignorance of all things is an evil neither terrible nor excessive, nor yet the greatest of all; but great cleverness and much learning, if they be accompanied by a bad training, are a much greater misfortune. Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance.

google Low stress training and Super cropping. That should help you out.
There is also a product out there called Bushmaster that will help you out alot. It contains a chemical that inhibits vertical growth and forces plants to focus energy on lateral bud growth. When used at the right time it can take about a week of stretch off, making your plant shorter and denser by harvest time. ITS SOME SERIOUS SHIT, and shouldnt be taken lightly. I feed with half strength right when i switch to 12/12 and i might give them another dosage at 2 weeks of flower for really stretchy sativas.
You could switch over to MH or T5's in order to promote shorter and stockier growth, but cannabis plants usually double to triple in size during flowering regardless of light spectrum.
