I have had migraines since I was a teenager - I really feel for you.

At my worst point, I was having them about every 3 days - so one day of misery, one day of feeling out of it with the classic migraine hangover and then one normal day. Crazy as it was, I didn't even realize they were migraines until it got that bad.

Instead of medicating me, my doctor managed to find my trigger fairly fast.
Since then, I've only had them rarely - mostly due to stress or rapidly rising temperatures - like a 30+ degree rise in a 24-hour period. drops don't bother me at all.
This past year, I started having them so often I went back to the doc's & got a prescription. It worked, but it turned out I had a pretty big dental problem that was causing the problem - instead of a toothache, the massive infection was giving me migraines.

Anyway - all that ramble was just to say that it's great if cannabis will help, but you'll be better off trying to identify your triggers and fixing the problem at the source.
