Made a mistake in the last post and took to long to correct it. Here's what I wanted to say:

Thanks for the feedback. I have thought about the a/c issue. My room is in the basement and it is very cool even in summer. I'm hoping that the room doesn't overheat by using the cooling tubes in the lights. I examined a friend's setup and he uses 4 Big Kahuna lights. They are paired as two sets and cooled with a 6" fan for each pair. The heat is carried outside. It's in his basement and his setup doesn't over heat. I'm open to ideas about a/c cooling though - especially for a basement situation.

I'm not going big, I'm just using the room that I have and want to do it right the first time because I can't afford to do this again. I won't have many plants at first because I'm learning; but at some point I will grow the legal maximum allowed in my state (and for my room size) and I don't want to have to go back and buy stuff. Better to have more than I need now than less than I need later.

Has anybody used the Sun System lights and digital ballast? They seem very affordable. My real concern is finding an affordable system that works. I'd hate to overpay. I've mentioned only two systems but I'm open to any other suggestions for cost effective lighting systems that work well. Thanks people! Keep it coming!

In my basement, I have a 9'x9' (or 9'x11' option) room with 8 foot ceiling. I have funds for a least four 1000 watt lights. There are so many brands out there that I don't know which to buy.
