Tobacco Mosaic Virus - or TMV... what do you know about this?

First time I've heard of it today, don't know much about it but I do know that I may have a plant that is infected with it. I will post some pics tomorrow, but if you've experienced this problem I would appreciate a first hand description of the symptoms, as well as the long term problems associated with it such as its contagious nature.

I lied... heres a photo tonight. Based on the little bit I've read online, this appears to have the correct symptoms as far as the leaf discoloration goes.

Actually... I really lied, I forgot to even attach the photo last night. It was late.. So here is a pic now of the possible TMV illness. Last night was the first I've ever even heard of tmv, so I know nothing about it so far =(. Does anyone know exactly how contageous it can be? Airborne? Direct contact? Direct contact to open wounds? that'd be very very helpful info.

I can't find a whole lot of helpful info on TMV in cannabis plants online, seems most people are too scared to admit that it is TMV and would prefer to blame it on something else. It appears as though I'm just going to have to get rid of this plant and all others that came in contact with it... which could be a lot... I don't know what to do right now I really don't want to kill off a few of the strains I have growing. Other plants are beginning to show potential symptoms of TMV but it doesn't look the same as this one so I am unsure at the moment about those. It could easily be something else there. I just know that often times with viruses they can be contagious even before showing symptoms....

Is it time for me to destroy everything in my garden, sanitize and rebuy many supplies, and start over..? FML

I realize I probably posted this in the wrong section and should have put it into plant problems. If a moderator wants to move it I'm fine with that, whatever will get me some advice or at least a second opinion on it. From what I've read this issue scares the hell out of me, especially when thinking it could have infected my mother... and the only options to restore order are to destroy plants. Its real tough for me to commit to destroying any plants without first hearing from someone that I should.
