Thanks! That's exactly what it is. It's a 2' x 2' commercial suspended ceiling light unit. The last grow I did years ago was under this with the original 18w tubes in it. Very slow going as you can imagine! I've just recently ripped all the old tube light fittings/ballast/wiring from the unit before glueing the Reflect-a-grow on the underside of it (You can't see that in these pictures but there are pictures of the sheeting in my other posts) I'm hoping it'll work well once my young plants get going.
thermite Reviewed by thermite on . Hanging my CFL's I just thought I'd share this simple set up I've devised to hang my CFL's It's really cheap and easy to do. I just used a couple of lengths of coat hanger wire, cut to length and then using a couple of small pairs of needle nose pliers and some cable ties. Basically, I already had coat hanger wire hooks made up to hang the lights through the small cooling vents on the bulbs. I found that just suspended from this point, the bulbs tend to point downwards slightly and I wanted them parallel. Rating: 5
