I normally just use 6.5 water to flush but this grow im using Sledgehammer. First time using it so couldnt really tell you if its worth the extra money. Chances are that plain water would work just as good.

    Pushit,

I've been using your log and have a question about the number of days. Is the day count from when you put them on 12/12, or from the first bloom, or from first seedling stage or what? I'm trying to compare my growth with your time line.
    Thanks

I replied to you in my log but ill copy and paste it here for you. Its the number of days since ive flipped to 12/12. As soon as my timer is 12/12, I consider that the first day of flower. Some disagree. I dont really think it matters either way you want to do it considering if the trichomes are to your liking they get the cut.
As for how old they were at the beginning of the thread, I have no clue. I dont really keep track of veg times anymore. Doesnt really concern me. As long as they are ready for flower when the time is right, thats all i personally care about haha

First of all props to pushit for being as helpful as he is here, I haven't read this thread before until now. I figured I might as well throw in a little bit as well. For the flushing part of it.. sledgehammer is definitely worth it, depending on the type of nutrients you use. I'd say that with using FF or other organics that sledgehammer isn't as necessary. But if you're using miracle grow or other stuff like that, I think sledgehammer can be very beneficial for flushing, because of the extra salt build up.

As far as the lighting schedule.. pushit I saw you recommended 16/8, haven't heard much of using that sort of schedule, unless it was a typo for you and you meant 18/6. If its not a typo and you do use 16/8 I'd like to hear more about how that goes for you. I'd always be paranoid that with some strains that can spring into flower earlier than I'd like.

    Hello Pushit
I'm following your log and doing just great. One question I still have is about fimming. I did this with each plant between the 4 & 5 nodes and it worked fine. Should I do this to other branches or not trim at all any more? If I do trim how soon before going 12/12 can I do this without putting stress on the plant? Thanks for your help

I have never fimmed so i couldnt honestly tell you the answer. All i do is top once and lst. I dont think you will have any problems as long as you dont get carried away. IMO i would treat it similar to taking clones. I take no more than 6 per plant at a given time and I wait around a week in between cutting sessions. I usually try and let them veg another 2 weeks after the last cut before throwing into flowering. If i decided to top multiple times i would use the same process. Hope that helps.
