OK, so I recently posted an introduction; http://boards.cannabis.com/introduce...hello-all.html; followed by a quick overview of my situation; http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-gro...7-rundown.html; I did a lot of work cleaning up the area, but overdid my fluorescent setup (more on that later), but I thought it would be most important to get some pics of the ladies up first so that I can make the most of them before anything gets out of hand. I'll attempt to provide as much info as possible and any questions/comments are welcome, I'm eager to learn and hear some outside opinions. here we go...

Plant #1 [Northern Lights]: Started from as a clone, in a 3 gallon pot of Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil that it was vegged and flowered in, but had to be pulled before harvest back in october in an attempt to re-veg it to preserve the genetics, I ended up giving it plain water that had been sitting 24hr until it was clear that it had pulled through and was showing large fresh growth. This week I switched it over to Fox Farm Grow Big 6-4-4 @ 1tsp per gallon & Big Bloom @ 2Tbl per gallon balanced to approx 6.5ph to see how it reacts. Last week I noticed some tiny white spotting on some of the fresh new green leaves and found what I am now quite certain are spider mites underneath them. I applied a generous amount of neem oil via spray bottle 6 days ago. This seemed to help greatly, but now they seem to be re-populating (I assume due to the remaining eggs hatching) I was told to wait 7 days between treatments, but the little bastards make me impatient (I would love to hear any positive/negative experiences anyone's had with more frequent neem applications).

Plant #2 [Northern Lights]: In a 3 gallon pot of Miracle-Gro Organic soil mix. It was grown from a clone of different origin from NL#1. I was concerned with how slender and tight the plant was growing and by it's yellowish appearance, I decided to transplant it from the 1 gallon pot with unknown soil it was in to the 3 gallon. I gave it 24hr tap water while it got established in the new soil and switched it with NL#1 over to the Fox Farm Grow Big/Big Bloom @ approx 6.5ph this week to see how it responds. I also drilled a few holes into the upper rim of the planter to anchor some string that I have pulling a few branches to the side in an attempt to help it fill out and get more bushy hopefully (I have only heard of "training" and have no practical experience, so I just did what seemed good to me).

Plant #3/4 [Cheese & Bubblicious]: These two were started as clones and now are suspended in a basket of the hydroton rocks with the roots suspended in a solution of Fox Farm Hydro Grow Big 3-2-6 @ 3tsp per gallon filled to 3 gallons and balanced to approx 6.0ph and then topped off with 24hr tap water balanced to about 6.0ph until it is flushed and filled every 2nd week. There is a submerged pump at the bottom that runs up to a hose around the inside upper rim to spray 15min every hour. They seem to be thriving best to me and have to most dense green growth of the bunch. I am noticing a yellow to white discoloration at the tips of some leaves and along the serrated edges. The ph had been creeping up near 7 last week and I wasn't sure if the damage is permanent or if correcting the cause will cause them to return to normal (that is even if a high ph would cause this). I've also never seen two plants to a single 5 gallon bucket, is this need for concern?

So caring for these is priority #1 since they're already so far along, but I've got a bunch of seeds and plans for them to come. Once again I'm trying to make these ladies the best they can be, while keeping things simple (like I said, I'm a newbie and it seems it's easy to get lost in the wealth of information out there) so I can work up to the more advanced stuff. With that said, have at it...
