Question from a friend. Well Docs rejected application.

I have a friend who got his rec through well docs was rejected with the note that the application was delayed for physician verification. He has another 60 days to send it back in according to the form. He was also rejected over residency requirements he sent in a medical bill and a out of state license apparently didn't cut it. He's got a CO license now and is thinking of just sending that in. Should he start from scratch with a new app because of all that has happened with Well Docs or just send in with CO license copy? He's also wondering if certification works for temp card or not in this situation. I don't think it does but i am not 100% sure of that.

Your friend needs to visit a new doctor and fill out a new application.

The Colorado driver's license will be sufficient to show residency.

If he has any questions send him our way. We refer people to a local doctor's office that is run by board certified pain management specialists. He won't have trouble with them.

We'll also make sure everything is in order and notarize the application for free if he stops by 1 Broadway after the doctor.

Thank you I will pass that on and send him that way. He wasn't sure because nothing was voided and registry kept sending mixed signals so asked me and hell if I know but figured best bet was to just start over that seems to be the case.

    Hey Denver Relief,

I am a mmj patient with an expired card. I'm gonna see a dr in a few days for renewal. Can I shop with you after I get my renewal paperwork from the doctor?

    neobes,

Once you get your new red card, come on in! Unfortunately, it is against the law to serve you with renewal paperwork. Here is a link to the patient newsletter from January put out by the CDPHe. Page 1, right hand side:

    Presenting applications for purchase: Effective
    July 1, 2011, Colorado Revised Statute 12-43.3-402.
Medical marijuana center license rules were amended to
allow Medical Marijuana Centers to accept copies of
new applications as temporary proof of registry. To
present application as proof of registration, the patient
    must provide the following:
    1. A new application packet including the application
and physician’s certification. Patients may not show
renewal paperwork as proof of registry.

    2. A certified mail return receipt with a mailing date no
    more than 35 days old.
    3. A valid picture ID that matches the name on the
    application.

Let us know if you (or anyone else) has any questions. We want to make sure patients understand the law as it's awfully confusing and arbitrary at times.
