Trichome ripeness question
So, My plants are in week 8 of bloom and I am keeping an eye on the trichomes. By week 8 I still don't see any amber trichomes. How long do you think is left in the bloom period by looking at this bud picture. You can zoom in and see the clear and milky trichomes.
This is an LED grow and I was also wondering if you think there are more trichomes in my bud than a HPS bud.
What do you guys and gals think ?

Trichome ripeness question
It is most likely a BigBud x Northern Lights cross.
I was also given a bunch of seeds from a friend who said they were AK47.
So it's one or the other.

Trichome ripeness question
Anyone here think these trichomes are going to turn amber soon ?
Is it a very fast process ? To turn amber. I'm wondering if it happens very quickly, like in a week or so.
Let me know what you think. Any info would be good. I'm just getting a little impatient in this grow as I have 9 more cuttings waiting to get started.
Take care all

Trichome ripeness question
Just keep an eye,on them! 2 more weeks if not sooner.. What kinda high are you lookin' for? Cause mickrick has the scenario.. I like couchlock! Reason I say 2 more weeks.. But you can also get amber trichomes, while curing.. So a satvia, sought high.. Would be overcome during curing..Nuttin' like homemade perserves! Ya need to know what kinda high ya want..

Lemme add this... Since your lookin' for couchlock then it's gonna be better to harvest at about 10% amber and then finish with your cure.

Hmmm, I always thought that if you harvest at 10% amber the high would be the opposite of couchlock.
The more amber, i thought, the more couchlock. Where did I go wrong in reading this ?

Trichome ripeness question
Hey there! I just had a question...
U guys base what time to harvest based on the looks of the tricombs??
I thaught u harvest when the resin glands are milky and swollen at the top?
So there must be more than one way to tell?

Trichome ripeness question
Purdy Gurl... Your right! There is more than one way to harvest.. But only one way to judge whether they are ready to harvest.. Thats whatever your preference may be... Couchlock or Social buzzez...
To answer both of you twos,confusion.. The trichomes finish ambering up while you cure.. You could go ahead and let them get as amber as you want on the plant... But your gonna compromise the ending cure.. Meaning that your cure is gonna be shortened.. As opposed to have cured them for 30-60 days.. Making things taste better! Or you could harvest at 80 percent amber and have a cure of 3 weeks to 30 days.. Not the taste your looking for.. That comes in the final flush,too.. Hope this makes sense!
