Hello Cannabis.com Forum,

I just wanted to take a minute to throw the feelers out there and see if there is even any interest in the skill set and experience I have in the indoor growing industry. I am employed by a global hvac/environmental controls company, and I'm curious about the demand for someone who can design and control ALL aspects of the growing environment. Through my automation training I've realized that if you are able to control the environment, you can greatly increase yield and greatly reduce the need for constant attention to your grow. Through software programming, it is possible to make the growing process less demanding, thus freeing up resources for other functions in the process seed to bud. I can engineer a system tailored to the individual needs of the grower. Using simple algorithms and electronic devices you are enabled to control the environmental conditions to very specific and adjustable levels. Examples are obviously air and nutrient temperature, lights, fans, pumps, Co2 levels, oxygen levels, humidity, nutrient flow, ph levels, every element that effects the grow cycle can be controlled, maintained, and adjusted locally or remotely from any computer. This includes smart phones and tablets. Using a web based control engine the grower can access live data and make adjustments on the fly and also keep a record of trending data that can be analyzed to fine tune the perfect grow cycle per the specific requirements of the strains being grown. Another cool feature is the remote alarm notifications through email, text, or pager. This feature can let you know there is a problem as soon as it occurs. An example of an alarm of importance would be if the nutrient pump had malfunctioned or the space temperature had gone too far out of acceptable range. Environmental controls have become very scientific and I would like to continue seeing the indoor growing industry keep pace. This isn't something for the closet grower. My vision is that this will be done on a commercial scale and I welcome feedback from those dispensary owners and commercial growers who are looking to streamline the growing process and increase productivity.
