Ga, just curious what exactly you're talking about when you say...
How many lumens would that make those 4- 20 watt cfl's? Is the kelvin rating gonna conflict with the mean lumens? Or will each one of them weigh eachother out and end up equal?
Just curious what you meant about the kelvin rating conflicting with the mean lumens?

The lumens produced by the 4 x 20w CFL is not worth talking about. I simply needed some heat in the tent so why not heat it with light ?
I'm trying to do a full grow with the Pro-Grow 260 as a test but I wonder would a 400w HPS be nice for the last 3 weeks of bloom.... Hmmm... Just for that last kick...
That has me thinking alright...

yea ty ga for your input and knowledge i however only say things and tell people to do stuff if it will actually work.... im just telling every one how i grew mine when i did and they turned out amazing.... and i look at books to be more allong the lines of guid lines and you should grow how you feel is the best way for your plants... i was always told by a old grower less is more........ he dont use c02 or any other 12 prt nuet set up just ionic and a 100xhps for veg and bloom and still comes out on top of any other grower ive seen...... i gusse ill have to check out your old posts because not to sound like a ass or anything but if they look better than what im doing ill take your advice but if its not broke why waste time and money to fix it????

J can't do it anymore, that dude wasn't using co2 nd his grow is coming out better than anyone? Idk about that one... Less is more, I believe in certian situations or with certian strains that might be the case. I'm not trying to he rude here yo, but I've tasted weed grown with the "less is more" attitude, nd it wasnt all that great. Some strains, like I said might thrive nd flourish in those conditions. But I personally believe that if u put the time nd the right nutrients nd b carefull and attentive, then u will be more in tune with ur plants... Nd they will be more in tuned with u. Growing is an experiance where u are always learning and things are always changing..
Learn from others so others can learn from u...

First I would get an SK1 male and backcross it to the BB.. I would'nt take a female SK1 and cross it to a male BB.. When all this breeding of these millions of strains came around.. SK1 was the founding plant that structured most of the old school strains in one form or fashion.. Whether it be 50% or a very small amount of the strain. It's there! Unless it's a pure indica or sativa.
I've had the same mothers for several years at a time.. This year is refresh the mama year.. Which I did by air layering..It's not a cutting or a clone either.. It's an establihed plant from the get go! That takes some practice! No lie..
I read all those books that tell ya this and that.. But the best book out there for cannabis cultivation,is a book called Marijuana Botany... If ya read one? Read that one! It's AWESOME! I do think you use the info read in those books a gospel.. Until you've done otherwise.. Then thats your mindset.. Not gonna change until you have experienced the worst of the readings.Thats where knowledge comes from! Wisdom is along way away!
When that Old School Grower told ya less is more.. Then I'm sure he was referring to KISS method..Which is Keep It Simple Stupid.. So lemme see if I got this right... If my plants look better than yours you'd listen to me? What works for me,may not work for you!
I first and foremost, would never tell a soul to scrap a project unless I thought it to be in their best interest!
This is a discussion... Not an argument..just sayin...So chill and don't go gettin' upset..cool?

thanks for the imput any way i was looking to go to school for botany but thats all about breeding and genetic construction of the plant..... on that note.... this guy grew the best tasting strongest bud of northern lights that was the only other herb i would or any one who smoked it would compare it to the larry og kush..... and yea all he did was ionic in a flood trouft system and 1000hps.... and thats all he used and thats what made the bud that poteint...... it was weird though when you smoke it it gives you such a heavy body high that it will make you pass out.... smells like pine forst i think ga i know there are many strains of nl do you think you could help me verify which one it might be???? it grows like a sativa really tall and is a trooper. ty respect and likes to all and hopefully back

I have a question about ph level. I'm new at this. How do you know if the water is 6.5 PH? How do you test the soil for ph level?

Ga, I'm having a hard time erasing what you said from my memory.. which is funny because most things are erased without intentions of doing so... hmm...
I just thought that perhaps you were talking about different light spectrums from different bulbs causing some sort of conflict and being that I just started messing around with my light spectrums in my veg room, it got me a little bit curious. BTW I made a serious error last night and dumped the wrong water into my mother... this water was heeeeavily salted, within 10 minutes she was hurting bad but I think I fixed it... or I hope I fixed it... or I will cry.
