new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowwondering if you could help CGI.....this is my present grow that was hit by a hermie and the whole crop has seeds but im trying to salvage some meds. the big plant and top cola shown is blackberry kush and its about 3 feet tall. as you can see it grew much bigger than everything else(even though other BK's stayed quite short). im at 1100 ppm. think i need more ??? 0-2-4 ratio 1/4 tea powder kool bloom per gal,, floricious bloom and cal, mag. and wouldnt the smaller ones be larger if it did seeing they dont need as much nutes. im at day 33. some rockwool slabs and as you can see my DWC was a failure. the big plant to the upper right is tangerine dream and is in a planter with rockwool. my bud formation seems aweful leafy on all plants really

new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowI'd call every failure a success....especially if you don't give up....

1100ppm might be a bit much for them size wise....but if they've been doing fine keep doing what you're doing....

Sucks to hear about the hermie.... The only plants I ever had hermie on me were when I had light leaking into my grow space during dark hours.... How dark is your grow space during the dark hours??? Any light leaking in will cause stress for sure.... Have you stood in your grow space during dark hours??? If you can see any light coming in, it's a problem.... And I'm talking about standing in there for like ten to twenty minutes until your eyes adjust to the dark....

new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowive been using the same grow room for 10 years no hermies or leaks. my bud had 3 of the BK and they hermied on him so we figure its got to be that strain. spoke to a soil grower i know and it happened to him once. he suggested to destroy the strain. ill go to 1000ppm i was on the high side of the ppm made simple chart. i think i found out about the lil ones. when i use a half or full strength gh nute mix. with 7.0 water the ph hits 5.7-6.0 with the weak strength my ph remained ay 7 so ive adjusted it and they seem to be picking up. ill shoot pix in a few days. thanx for the vote of confidence, i used to grow buds the size of my arm but have been getting worse and worse over the years,,,,,so much im trying many different systems. i think its been my nute strengths but everytime i go light i get leafy loose buds. too much ,,,they just stall and sit there.

new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowwell as far as your stalled growth goes, starting with the 6x6x6 blocks is like putting a cutting into a 5 gallon bucket, once your root structure is built up in smaller cubes the transition to the big ones doesnt slow the growth down,i used to go from 3x3 cubs then to the 6x6x6works great and no lag,ill see if i can find u a pic from an old grow.Attachment 282369

new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowfound the problem. i got some bad advise. i was told to WET the cubes but if you do that the water is absorbed leaving a salt buildup that would be FLUSHED away if more water(enough to get 10% runoff) is applied. ive emergency flushed them and the run off at first was 1300 ppm ( ph was still perfect though). im going to use a fert. one watering. ph adjusted plain water the next. someone in town uses these and said to alternate the fert feeds. plants are raging and looking great....all survive. guess im back on my own here, however any more advise is still appreciated but will be filtered before enacting. also i now know exactly what a plant looks like when its getting toasted, so something came of it i guess. btw what watering schedule or practice do you use Disrupt ?

new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowI know I mentioned here somewhere to you that I had absolutely zero experience with RW and was just trying to help.... I do know hydro, I know nutes....but have never attempted rockwool....

How far is that lamp from them plants??? They look like they aren't getting enough light....

See how close the lamps are in Disrupt's photo??? I too agree with Disrupt when saying that starting in small cubes and working up is better for building a root zone....

 Just trying to help....

new grow 6 x 6 rockwool cubes, blue widowim not attacking you cgi just sayin that the lite water tech your friend told ya bout cannot continue as such. the rw retains salts when the water is absorbed and must be flushed. theres no way to do that without soaking the cube. thats why i got some advise about trying a one on one off fert program. i too agree with disrupt. if these were in smaller cubes ,,,they would be easier to flush. i flushed twice and still have a big buildup. im sure in a smaller cube id have it all flushed away now. i used to use the 3x3 for my rw slabs but my bud goes right into the big cubes and have had no probs, but he didnt fry them also. my light is a 400 w MH and is 18 " away. now that im on the fact these have to be flushed either with, watering techq ,runoff off or ph adjusted plain water soaking im sure things will start to pan out with alot of your advise still being used. im still going to follow the ppm chart made simple........ so nothing personal. also that BW was at like 2000 when i flushed it so that plant did need to be flushed and fed less nutes, so we both picked up some info i guess!!
