White Widow , Northern Light,,what do you think?

    :smokin:

    Hi Guys!:smokebong:Attachment 281729Attachment 281730Attachment 281731Attachment 281732
A few weeks back I mentioned I had purchased a grow tent and was waiting for delivery to set it up,,although it took 11 days to get here in Ottawa from California, I was all too happy to set it up and get it going,,The tent is 5 x 5 x 6 1/6, with the help of my wife we managed to put it up within a half hour,, I've put in a 1000 w bulb in there and will be installing an air duct system in there in the coming week,,When the light comes on the temperature raises in the tent to 89 degrees and humidity drops down to about 30% at the end of it's light cycle for the day, once the light is off it drops to about 81 degrees but the humidity goes up to about 60% and the plants seem to like that temperature, These 3 plants have been in the tent for 4 days total and are already showing progress.

The white widow is the one at the front of the picture, about 4 1/2 foot high and smells nice,,other one in the back is a northern lite which stands at the same height, nice plant to grow,,the smaller, bushier one is another northern lite that's given me nothing but problems since I cloned it,,it's the same age as the other 2 in the picture, never wanted to grow, the leaves always stayed small, and the shoots are weak and limber, So i decided to bud the little rascal, after being in there 4 days, not only is it getting bushier but getting a lot stronger, unbelievable comeback ,,new shoots are coming up and the plant seems to stand up stronger now,,hope it turns out some fine bud,,will see,,imp:

Enjoy,,will be posting again in a short while with results,,

Nice grow, very nice sized tent. 5 x 5 floor area. You could fit a lot of plants in there.
Would be interesting to see 25 plants in a SOG grow in there. You would have a massive yield.
I have a 3 x 3 x 5 tent. I had a larger tent and grew too many plants for the 3 x 3. So over crowding became an issue.

Ill try 9 plants (1sqf per plant) in a SOG grow next time I think. My babies are in the final 3 weeks of bloom right now.
You can see my grow journal here: LED Logger

    Take care

Silent leprechaun,, nice grow you have going there! Hope mine turn up as nice as yours do,,
I only put up the 3 plants in there, I guess I was in a rush to get them to start flowering, but they are now finished their 1st week budding and I'm impressed, It's all starting to pop up everywhere and looking good, Before they went in to flowering mode, I had played with the lighting a bit. What I did is I k.dew the tent was going to arrive soon, so 2 weeks prior to getting the tent I turned the light down to 16 hours daily for about 1 week, 2 nd week I switched to 14 hours, then when the tent arrived, I put them in and put them in the 12/12 routine,,,didn't harm the plants are they're all doing good, all I have to do now is keep the right feeding times, plenty of fresh air and cross my fingers and wait...

The plants will be fine with that lighting schedule. I gave my plants 2 days of complete darkness before going 12/12. Each to their own really.

Keep up the good work. Glad you liked my grow journal. I hope I can help some people out there. I am quite new to it all. This grow is my 3rd in my life.

I did a lot of research before starting this grow. Cannabis.com and its members helped me a lot also.

    Take care

Thanks Looking forward to seeing yours coming along too. I have only seen their sexes in the last week of November so that would be the first week of bloom. The AK47s could take anywhere up to 9 weeks. I have 3 x Bug Bud/Northern Lights feminised cross in there too which can also take 9 weeks. I heard that growing with LED can sometimes increase the bloom period by up to 2 weeks. I'm unsure of the logic behind this but some LED growers have noticed this. The plants are now in week 8 so I should be harvesting sometime next week but as I said, it might take a little longer because of the LED I don't mind really

I have a 60x microscope so I'll keep an eye on the trichomes and wait until about 80% of the tops are amber. Then I'll harvest the plants. Then its to the curing process which can take a few weeks to get the weed just right. I have 9 cuttings waiting to be put in the main room. Ill be blooming them all very quickly so I can have a SOG grow going on.

Keep the pictures coming in. I normally update about every week. Even the guy who owns the company that makes the LED light contacted me after seeing my grow journal. He is a nice guy. He even was nice enough to offer me a free upgrade on my LED light. I'll probably get it after this grow sometime.

    Take care
