Canada, Vote Liberal for legalization of POT,,

Bob Rae the interim Liberal Leader wants pot to be legalized,,says the war on drugs is being lost and it's time to make marijuana legal in this country,,they have my vote.
They are in Ottawa this weekend to chose a new leader for the Liberal party and have promised to legalize the herb,,is this just more crap blowing in the breeze? or are they serious about this? In any case it's worth voting for them just to see where it will lead to,,,
