    Humic Acid...FYI

Humic acid is a great addative for those who use organic nutrients. HA stimulates soil bacteria and fungi, driving their rates of consumption way up. The result is healthier root zones, faster nutrient uptake due to its ability to break up nutrient bonds, and ultimately significantly faster growth rates and increased yields.
I have been using humic acid for many years. One thing I have noticed over time is that almost every manufacturer of humic acid uses leonardite as a source for extracting humic acid.
For those that dont know, leonardite is a coal mining waste product that is low in bioactivity and high in molecular weight. In english:humic acid from leonardite does almost nothing for plants. On top of using leonardite as a raw source, these companies use strong alkalie chemicals in their extraction of humic acids. Result: A very poor humic acid product.

I am from Portland Or. and recently I have come across a local humic acid product that is sourced from fossilized peat. Instead of using an alkalie extraction process, they use microbes to extract the humic acids. The result is a very high quality humic acid with a low molecular weight and high bioactivity. Translation: It works very well.

The product is called Humic Acid Concentrate made by Humic Solutions Inc. This company specializes in humic products only and make their batches fresh for order. I ran into the owner of the company while he was making a sale in a local shop (Garden Spout) He gave me some info sheets and samples. I tried this stuff and it works very well.
So for those of you that grow with organics, this stuff is well worth the money.

I asked and they dont have a website, but you can send questions to xxxxxx to learn more.

As far as nutes and supplements go, many are just N-P-K with fancy labels. I posted this because this stuff really is something different and high quality.

    Hope this helps.
