First Grow - Kalishnikova (WhiteWidow/AK47) Start to Harvest - Any guess on Yield?

Hey guys, Today I am chopping my Kalishnikova plants. I am not 100% sure they are ready, but they are acting a little funny so I am playing it safe. As you can see from the pic literally every large and medium sized fan leave has yellowed and fallen off. I would say 25% of it occured last night. Trichs are 75% cloudy 25% clear and I cant find a amber one. 10 weeks and 2 days of Flowering.

Fox Farm Soil
Canna nutes (Terra Flores, Vega and Boost)
1000w HPS Hortilux
Grown from seed bought from Attitude Seed bank, strain from Green House Seeds
Avg. Temp 65 and night 86 during day (give or take) Humidy Avg. 40%
Veg'd under 800w (equivelent) CFL 5000k for 4 weeks from seed sprout to Flower

amber trichs can take anywhere from 9-13 weeks in the white strains...it's worth the wait..:jointsmile:

I think I made the mistake of not providing enough N early in flowering. All three Kalishnikovas lost ALL leaves this week. Last night some of them even got a reddish hue in them. I have some great looking clones I took and I will make a few adjustments for the next batch and let them go 12-14 weeks flowering. I smoked a sample of this stuff last night, and its a good high. Very hard hitting surprisingly.

I am growing in soil and the pots are 5 gallon. Judging by the root ball of the last plant, I could have used a bigger pot.

On my last stem so we will see the weight. What is the % of wet weight to dry weight?

my plants always did run out of nitrogen, too...but, you don't want to add too much....
...it will increase the flowering time..IMO

I found by added a thin layer of blood meal to the soil; near the bottom of the pot...no more nitrogen shortage.

Just use a nitrogen supplement in addition to bloom nutes. I use just enough to make the yellowing of the leaves go away. too much N will hinder flowering, so will an N deficiency.
be careful of dead/dying leaves. Its a great place for mold to take hold.
I do a tug test on my leaves when they look like they are getting close. If you can tug gently and the leaf comes off, it was time for it to go.
By using nitrogen throughout the flowering process, you should only see yellow leaves at the end of flowering when you cut back food and plan to flush.

Hi musiclvr

Big big fan of green House Seeds stuff always grow from them never had a prob. I grew A,M,S, White Widow and Train Wreck. My next grow was going to be Kalishnikova because i was told good stories and looking at your baby they were right. Any way ill keep a eye on your grow looking good so far my man cant wait to hair how she smokes....
