    Drying your buds

Had an Idea and thought id post it on here so everyone can rip it to pieces (and being new to growing it shouldnt be too hard) how about drying your buds in a modified tumble dryer??? by modified I mean the temp turned down to a suitable level and the drum lined with some sort of fine mesh material. Would this work or have i been using too much of my own crop??

There are a lot of ideas that seem good in theory. But thats how great ideas come to be.

Unfortunately, a tumble dryer would knock off many of the trichomes. Mila's pollinator is based on this design. Although the pollinator uses dry cannabis for processing.

hang drying is the least harmful and the most effective way to dry quality cannabis. you can dry in bags but you can make your buds smell like alfalpha and your buds can get flat on one side or the other.

    Drying your buds

I've yet to get to the drying stage, have to get through growing first...

But I'm thinking about how the tricombs can get knocked off, trying to think of some sort of tray arrangement under the hanging buds.

I guess a stick with alligator clips on it to hold the buds then a really clean surface to catch anything. Waste not and all that.

I see pictures here of people drying in a closet. Nice controlled environment.

I have an attic space... gets pretty warm, a day or two up there might be all it needs.

Still thinking, could use some ideas,

    Thanks

slow drying will yeild a more flavorful, aromatic, and potent flowers. and i have to agree with ganjarob its goiing to do more harm than good. a week to dry and at LEAST one week to cure.
