    First grow problem

So my first grow is about a week away from harvest, I'm thinking...

I think that because I've seen some really full tricombs. This is all flouro grow so I'm thinking my buds might not be really tight, just guessing.

I have a white powder collecting on the fans, I'll try and get a picture of that, hard to see in the camera.

And I'm cutting off fans little by little.

A lot of stuff down low that I could remove also...

How bad is the powder problem? Doesn't seem to be on the flowers, just the fans...

    Any thoughts/advice?

    Thanks

If it really is that close to harvest I should start doing longer nights?

    That's a preference thing....

That white powder might be powder mold.... IMO....you should havd thinned them out before flowering....

By thinning them you get better airflow.... If anything....you want to increase your fan usage to remove humidity....

What is your RH right now???

mold grows more at night, so longer nights wont speed up flowering, it will speed up mold production.

Its hard to tell form the pics, but your plants only look halfway done. How long were they in flower?

Make sure to remove any leaves that have powdery mildew. PM looks like someone dusted flour on your leaves.

It's kind of looking like flour on the leaves but it goes up some stems. Also a leaf pattern like it's coming from the plant, following the veins.

I'm thinking about having a massive trimming tonight when they wake up.

Or would it be better to spread it out of 2 or 3 days?

You follow a stem back to the main stalk and cut it on a diagonal as close as you can to the stalk?

    Thanks

If those were my plants id be getting those fan leaves trimmed off and get a fan moving some air around in there. I honestly belive you are over crowded too. as somone else asked whats the relative himidity as well as the high and low temps, in the room? You need to deal with this right away before it ruins the entire crop.

the problem is that, leaves should have been removed before flower like cgi said. now you are only slowing the the flower process down by trimming. light can fool you so check your plants in different forms of light. for example mildew and mites can go unnoticed under hps to the naked eye. all of a sudden your knee deep in problems. of course my eyes arent what they used to be:stoned: fans can reduce humidity but also spreads spores vigorously. balance is key for that situation, dont use any mildewcides or chemicals at this point. further yes you can expect thinner buds based on flouro lights. stop pruning, stay the course and harvest as soon as feasible.

I guess I overwatered a lot. Also this is a closed box, all reflective surfaces.

There is a fan blowing air into the box that runs when the lights run but it's pretty mello, not really strong, just to get them air for CO2.

Yes it's over crowded, 3 plants, but my other box is a grow box and it's got 5 in there now (same size) and they're getting big. I guess I'm going to have to move them outside.

I've moved 3 outside already and they're doing good. It's been in the eighties here lately but it could get cold in a week or two.

I build a frame and grow them under shade cloth and cover them at night to keep them dark.

Think I'll do some trimming and get rid of the worst powdery leaves.

I wanted to do a lollipop test because I have two identical plants but now I'll just try and get the plants to finish.

I don't have any instruments to measure humidity, temperature, or pH.

    Other than that though...

Here's some powder pics and some bud pics.

Powder isn't on the buds at least visible...

I think it would be what lands on them.

So would it be better to smoke the powder buds or make brownies?
