    CGI's gettin his feet wet....

I have no idea why I didn't start with hydro this year.... I've been getting my hands dirty for the past 11 months or so and now that I decided to break out my hydro units....I have no idea why I didn't do this sooner....

I've plenty of hydro experience and know that plants shouldn't share a res but....I like to go outside the box.... Plus I can afford to lose out a crop if things go south....but I'm sure they won't.... I'm also limited with space so having lots of small plants is what works for me....

    Anyway....to the grow....

I started with 15 rooting cuttings in the homemade DWC res (first 2 pics, two weeks ago).... 3 of them didn't root (pre-mature mother/cuttings not big enough)....

Well the three on the far left and three on the far right outgrew the rest so I dropped them in my little Rainforest Aeroponic bucket from GH....and put them in to flower....(last 3 pics).... One of them has fan leaves as big as my hand....and is about 8 inches tall.... The screen you see on them is to lst them a bit so as to stop them from stretching up too much.... That, and I know that they will have monster buds on them later that'll need some support....

That lil bucket has a 2.5gal res with 2 airstones and a 60gal per minute sub-pump shooting up water displaced by a flat end cap that evenly splashes the water to each 3" net pot....6 total....

    More to come....

These other lil ones that are still vegging will be dropped into my other lil Rainforest Aero system tonight....

If you can zoom in on the ones I have in the red party cups....you can see a huge difference in size from the ones in the cups to the ones in the hydro setup.... Believe it or not but the cuttings were taken the same day....and dropped into their current mediums the same day....

The biggest difference between the two, other than medium, is distance from my cfls.... The ones in hydro recieved direct and close lumens while the others received indirect lighting.... Either way....I'm still seeing much faster growth with hydro....and will most likely only be keeping soil around for mothers.... I really can't wait to have the space again to break out my big hydro systems....*sigh*....

Do I see some revegged mamas? Hell yeah.. You go! I got a SK#1 That I just harvested and have her reveggin'. Most all of the past 3 grows have been with revegged plants.

I know when I started this hydro.. I had no idea as to the size of these monsters. I might add, that is with 1/4 strength nutes until I flower. I've never given a ful dose in veg. When I change to flower. I clean my bucket and fill with ph'd water. I slowly work my way to full bloom nutes. I've found that it's easier to handle when it a low dose rather than screwin' up and givin' full dose. Just works out better that way.For me..

I really should had not worried with the air layerin' my DWC mama.. It was takin' so long to root, the plant has monsterously outgrown the tent. The stalk under the panda film.. It's big as a beer can. Root mass as large as the bucket will let it grow. So white and clean lookin(roots). Maybe I'll be able to learn from your experiences, too!

    Ga.

Great to see ya gonna dabble in the hydro! I kinda like it..

I wouldn't go full strength in veg either....

I'm running Advanced Nutes Jungle Juice 3-part with cal-mag and B-1 right now....

For week 1 of flower I have them at 500ppm....ph fluctuates up so I offset it down to 5.5 and then drop it back down to 5.5 once it reaches 6.2....

My recipe for this week is:

JJ Grow - 4ml per gal
JJ Micro - 3ml per gal
JJ Bloom - 2ml per gal
    Cal-Mag - 2.5ml per gal
    B-1 - 2.5ml per gal

I'll be adding Big Bud for weeks 2-4.... Then powdered Kool Bloom weeks 5-7 to finish them off....

Soil or hydro....I just love growing cannabis!!!!

Thanks .... Aaahhhhhh.... It's good to be back in hydro....

It didn't specifically say on the bottles that it was pH neutral.... I decided to get this trio when I saw the price for each liter....freakin inexpensive....$7.50 a bottle....they'll probably last me a year or so.... Plus that, and the fact that Advanced Nutes is well regarded with other cannabis growers.... So far I'm loving the results....and my lil ones seem to be loving the nutes.... They're taking in about 75ppm per day right now.... I'll probably be topping off a gallon a day in the later weeks of flower....darn small res....oh well....it still feels really good to be back in water again........

Take a peak at this stuff. If it really works there gonna be allot of PH measuring devices collecting dust.

I've been having such steady pH and solid nutrient uptake....if this keeps up....I probably won't want to try something else for a while....

So I guess we can count this as my review for this version....
