    CGI's gettin his feet wet....

They've really gotten bushy!!! Me likey ....

I didn't get to add the second bucket to my flower cab until a day later than I thought....so the smaller plants are 4 days behind the larger ones....

pH has been staying where I leave it.... If I leave my bucket at 5.85....24 hrs later....I'll get a reading in the same 5.8 range....

I've been having to top off about a liter a day with: (for bucket with larger plants)

    3ml of JJ Grow
    2ml of JJ Micro
    1ml of JJ Bloom
    2ml of CalMag
    2ml of B1

After topping off with nutes and water my ppms are at 490-520.... 24hrs later after topping off with a liter or so, before adding nutes, I'll get a 300-330ppm reading.... The ppms are letting me know that they are eating up these nutes like crazy.... The smaller plants aren't eating up as much but thats expected this early.... pH however is as stable as the res with the larger plants....

    Happy Growing ....

I haven't read too much into the Formula of Lucas .... TBH....I learned my feed/recipe schedule from Zandor....and been using it since.... Using a 3-part base ratio of 3:2:1 (Grow:Micro:Bloom) for veg up until day 7 of FL.... 1:1:1 for days 7 -14 of FL.... Then a 1:2:3 ratio for days 14-35 of FL.... And finally 0:1:2 ratio for the remainder of a nutrient filled res.... Flush before harvest.... And that's how I apply my feed ratios....

No....that isn't what I put per liter.... That amount gives me 150+/- ppm needed to reach the ppm nutrient level I want to keep for this week.... The amount I use to top off will most likely increase as they grow larger....

Dont know if you have read this or not but it changed my mix. In veg per gal I used to run (GH 3-part, G/M/B, ml) 5/5/5. When I switched to flower I ran 5/2.5/10 and also 10ml Liquid Koolbloom. That was first 2 weeks. After that it changed to 5/2.5/10 and 1/4 tsp per gal dry Koolbloom. 3rd to last week drop to half str, final 2 weeks plain water. I also use Flourishous Plus (sorry for spelling) from start to finish at 1ml per gal.

    Yeah....I've read that thread....

For boosters I've got Big Bud for weeks 2-4 and KoolBloom for weeks 5 & 6.... Week 7 I'll use a flushing agent (florakleen) for the first 24hrs then replace with plain RO water until harvest.... Harvest....what a beautiful word....

Have you ever tried removing the Grow from your base ratio the last couple weeks??? And dropping pH like latewood describes???

The larger plants were getting really bushy....so I decided to trim lower growth and tie each one to the screen I made.... I'd rather have them focus all energy above where I tied them....

    Pic1 is a side view....
    Pic2 is a top view....
You can see where I tied them in pic3....
Pic 4 is the smaller plants....

I did a res change for the larger plants yesterday.... Am running 600ppms this week....@ 5.85 pH....

    This weeks recipe per 2.5gal:
10ml of JJ Grow, Micro & Bloom
    7.5ml of CalMag
    7.5ml of B1

nope. about the time I was ready to really start experimenting and such I received a call at work from the local PD saying I needed to come home as they wanted to talk about a few things. Well after I helped them cut everything down and carry it out to their car I decided to take a break for awhile LOL

    9ml of JJ Micro
    6ml of JJ Grow
    9ml of Big Bud
    10ml of CalMag
    10ml of B1

The larger plants are eating up a storm.... While the smaller ones are following along at their own pace.... I placed a 3" net pot on top of the larger plants for size reference....see pics....

Personally i think using a flushing agent in DWC is a waste of money. Its suppose to break the ionic bond behind mineral salts and the growing media. With your media being super oxygenated water, plain water should serve the same purpose. In rockwool, hydroton, or soil gardens the salts can accumulate and can be hard to flush out in the last week or so but just changing your water will get rid of any buildup.

I'd been thinking about not using flushing agents.... Think 7 days in plain RO would be enough of a flush???
