Extreme Claw! shrivelled little babies..
Hello,
Very new to this site, I have been referencing it all week trying to figure out what is happening to my plants.
Finally things have gotten so bad that I signed up for an account and have been waiting by the phone (gmail) for the moderators to allow my account.. heh.
here goes:
five clones, in a 2' x 2.5' x 4' grow box. 400W hps. 100cfm exhaust fan to push air out of box. 23cfm "muffin" fan on bulb, and another "muffin" creating airflow inside box.
all started very well but when i installed my carbon filter ( 8"x9" flat filter for oven range hood) (ok.. yeah, i'm a noob!) it was hindering airflow too much. I left the plants for a couple hours and the temp reached 120f. needless to say the next day they where kinda wilted. i've then been freaking out and reading non stop about over water / under water and ph and stuff..
over nute, under nute, everybody has different opinions and most say: show me some pictures. So i've posted some pictures of my plants and hopefully someone can help.
all I know is this: I have reagular potting mix. (i know now that i should have gone soil-less mix)
I water with municipal tap water heated to room temperature
I was freaking about over watering so i transplanted plants to larger pots containing dry soil
ph: spoke to hydro shop owner in my city and he says munipal water is always 7
temperature stays at around 80 with light on, 65 with light off
light cycle is 18/6
my plants are STRESSED to the max. what am i doing wrong? could this all be from the high temps last week?
i've got some photos. pre-heat stroke (was using cfl at first), then the progression.
does anybody have any advice? i'll be glad to add any details that might help.

one of my first grow rooms was in an attic. my a/c wen out on a 100 degree day and my room reached temps around 130F.
my plants never did fully recover, growth rates were slow as hell from that point on.
Here is the thing: try not to stress your plants by making tons of changes while they are stressed.
seriously, water them and leave them alone. allow your grow medium to dry out before re-watering. Its the hardest thing to do right now, but its the best thing for your plants.
keep temps in control, and dont worry about nutes right now, your plants have plenty of food now that you replanted. they are too small for food, so avoid feeding until they are larger.
re-cap: leave them alone:thumbsup:
hope this helpsIf I pollinate a plant in the corner of my basement, does that make me a breeder?:i feel stupid:
If you have questions, feel free to message me. The more successful growers there are out there, the better this world is!

yeah, makes sense.
I felt like I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.. heh..
If i get some new growth, do you think it would be worth making some cuttings and starting over? ie: ditch the root system and the damaged leaves?
thanks,
