New here, lighting question concerning grow.

I was checking this out as well- Grow Box | Grow Systems | Grow Your Own.
I wasn't looking so much as a vertical grow because i'm growing in my closet.. to be honest i've never grown before.. how many plants do you think i could fit if i SOG that dresser? Also with that in mind what would be a good strain for such conditions like this?

I would shoot more for two plants- 4 will bush up and overall yields will be iffy. From two sharkbite plants under a 150w HPS with a cfl sidelight (lst for 8 weeks, then cut out to finish flowering), I got about 3 oz cured. I'm definitely going to up the lighting and the space for next grow.

I made one box then another for flower when I needed it. Basic 2' deep 4' wide and about 4' tall. They are both full now and the veg cabinet will have to be a flower box too for a while. Cost $11 each, one sheet of OSB radiant barrier. So the cheap wafer board with foil glued onto one side. I use T5 lighting.

I don't know how you'd make it stealth though, may be a fancy paint job. I just have them in my garage.

Hi there my 2nd Love, I finally took the time and checked out that site! I don't know about the UFO light, I have read mixed reviews of it here, in old threads! You may want to check out lighting thread of "Calling Out Wizard" and see if you get mo info and read others! You definitely need to do alot more reading before you invest that kind of money. On the up side, the boxes are cute! I would guess, if they are in U.S.A. they might be reliable.

If you are in a mmj state, the hydro store sell boxes too! And give advice to you. Not that they always know what they are talking about, but most grow too!

I liked the boxes, a new username of scoggbox came to mind! At any rate, those boxes were nice looking. From U.S.A and shipped in U.S.A, phone them and ask them some questions!

Just about every grow I've read here the grower made their own box. Some really nice cheaper options like using a computer tower and what they did to convert it or rubbermaid grows! And if you have a closet to spare, use the whole thing! Put your clothes in a box! You will need to deal with the "smell" issue, temps, humidity circulation, as well! I read for a long time before I planted my first garden. You seem to have done a bit already.

check out the grow logs and DIY section, which you are probably already doing! pr

And i'm currently reading the marijuana grow bible, im halfway though and its a great informational book when it comes to that.. has all sorts of stuff!

LvLf420, My 1st indoor was a closet that I could spare, was enough space for 4 good plants, was all CFLs, puny buds but good vegatative growth, with your HPS you should do well. Look into descriptions of Sea of Green, I think this might be the way to maximize your yields. DWC hydro is probably the easiest way to go from the begining, just need an aquarium pump. (very stealthy). Keep reading, look into some of the threads here too, massive amount of information. Some good e-books are available as well of the subject too.

Building your own can be so rewarding if you can build one yourself.... As far as stealth....is your family allowed everywhere in your house??? Just saying that you can save a whole bunch of money on a custom box and put that money towards other equipment you'll need.... BTW....if you think that growing cannabis is a water and wait type of hobby....it's not....it takes a time and dedication.... What I'm saying is that you can't be lazy if you want to grow your own....well you can but you'll find that you reep what you sow....

Keep us posted and ask any questions you have....we're all here to help....

    Happy Growing  ....

I mean as far as building a stealth grow box im feeling lazy about it, as far as growing it my dedication is full on! My family consists of three older cousins "around my age". But i have two younger ones that are just crazy. They need some major aderall lol. But if they saw a cabinet i'm sure it would blend in. And with that amount of space in the cabinet i was considering buying, you think i could lst atleast 2-4 plants? I mean lsting really conserves space cause it takes vertical space to horiztontal by wrapping it around your pots.

lacking height is the big killer..and see how many?..of the biggest containers you are gonna flower in; fit on the floor of the cabinet.

with all the customers you got around...they will smoke that up in 2 days....
