Okay,
So you have a limited budget (381 euros) But, you have a 400 watt high pressure sodium lamp.
Your goal is to grow high quality cannabis for only one harvest and yield at least 1 pound. Can you come up with a list of grow supplies and types of seeds and a lay out of what the grow room may look like? This can be accomplished by simply giving a detailed explanation of the grow room and a list of the general materials needed. This needs to be accomplished under a 4'x6'x7' lengthxwidthxheight grow area.

Yes, I can. But the question isn't "can" I do it. The question is, will I do it? And the answer is no. I already did it once and it was a fair bit of work...

I was growing indoors, Hydro in fact, and remember how much time it took to finally come up with the right stuff to fit in the right spot. I only plan on doing this maybe 1 more time after we move but thats allot of work to do and simply hand over. Lastly before anything is even thought up I dont see a pound (dry weight) coming from under a single 400w HPS. Sorry :sorry1:

You're basically asking for someone to hold your hand and tell you how to start....

1. We don't know what's readily available to you....

2. You will ultimately decide what you're going to get....

3. You're not the first, or last, to ask the very same start-up question....

All the info is on this site.... You need to start reading and then you can make an educated decision as to what would be best for you....

See here's the thing BK, no one is really willing to do all the work for you in large measure because we know that a) all of this information is readily available with a bit of effort, b) we know that you will learn a lot by doing your own homework, c) you will be back with a ton of basic questions if we do the work for you. No one means to be dickish... we've just been through this too many times in the past.

Here is what I suggest. You go away and do your research and then you post up your shopping list. We'll all pitch in with comments and suggestions. 1lb from 400w is doubtful. Dial in a scrog grow and you can go far though. Good luck!

Now there, that is all very fine advice! The answer is in the threads. See what you want and then ask away! Alot of great reading too! As, I am in there alot looking around! Am in a legal mmj state and we have stores and places to go to learn. Plus, there are books you can read, as well! Years ago, I went to Barnes and Noble (bookstore), the pot books are all hidden behind the counter and you must ask to get them. :rastar

LoL PR I got sucked in by the "EVERYONE LISTEN UP!". I was kinda interested in who had the nads to title a thread begining with that since it was post #1.
I did somemore thinking about this since I constantly try to figure out different senarios to try and keep brain busy as I get bored extremely easy. 4x6x7 room, so the tallest the plant(s) can be is aprox 4' tall out of a 2 gal bucket (using sizes that I used since I have no clue what you plan on doing). Min 1 sq ft per plant for growing, only prob with the min is trying to get in and tend the plants. Using a 400w HPS light is only going to cover aprox 4x4 so right out of the gate you have lost 8 sq ft unless a light rail is used but then again the budget is not going to cover that. We are now down to 4x4x7. 400w is only going to penetrate so far down into the plant unless some dedicated trimming is done so lets change the max height of plant to 3ft to ensure light penetration to a certain point. When I was using my tent as an actual grow space the best number of plants I came up with in a 4x4x7 space is 5. That was DWC in 5gal buckets, 400w MH/HPS and around 2 years of growing. IMO where you have to start planning a room isn't the yeild size u want or how much space you have available it is how big and how many lights. When you know this then you can plan space needed and est what yeild will be. Here are my predictions and my thoughts on what you could do. 400W HPS = 4x4 footprint of light. Dont know if u are doing soil or Hydro so since I live in the water I would do a DWC grow to keep expenses down. 5 plants started from seed so your gonna wanna start atleast 8 seeds to allow for mishaps. Veg until about 1' to 1 1/2' tall then fim then so they will bush out some. As for strain you and I would be shopping at different ends of the aisle on this one. You are looking for quantity and I grow for quality. Whats the sence in having a pound of smoke that has a very low THC level when you can have half a pound of smoke that will give you better personal results with less herb being used. I'm not going any further than I have already since I still find it a little strange that someone comes out of nowhere with a request like this on their first post. If you have been searching for answers on your own all I can say is you have been looking in the wrong places. It is amazing what you can find when you Google
