Double Harvest With a Few Seeds?

    Question:

As a first timer I Had a great harvest this year. So good I allowed the 4 "Widow" plants to extend into a "Double Harvest". So here's the deal..... Of course they were all "feminized" female cuz everything that was crushed & vaped contained no seeds up until a week or so prior where I crushed up some flower & to my amazement noticed a seed in the mix. Thought nothing about it until today where again, crushed up some more from the "2nd batch" (Double Harvest) & noticed 2 more nice sized seeds. Not upset cuz this batch is way powerful But WTF happened?

Double Harvest With a Few Seeds?

Any kind of stress will promote a plant to hermie.. My guess,it was a light leak or heat stress. I've found those to be the 2 main causes for one to hermie. You did cut from it,too.. Another stressing action. Even with reveggin'..

Thanx bro.... Still some lethal azz mj, just wanted to understand a tad more. Heard about that & yea, they were REALLY STRESSED on multiple levels, Double Harvest Cutting, Heat, Introduced different "FF" micro nutrients to the mix, Temperature fluctuations, etc.

You could eliminate one point of stress by not double harvesting.. Just cut off the buds you plan to harvest and then reveg. You won't lose your strain that way. Not so sure it won't hermie on ya while veggin',though.. Due to the amount of stress it has gone through. Another thing that might help you is to get the heat issue in check. Or at least below the 80 degree mark. They stop growing or grow sluggish while sujected to that amount of heat for a period of time. I can't say that all my grows have been a success! I had to learn, too! Thats why we are here..To learn how not to screw things up!

Like Ga said....most likely due to stress....

I recently over fert a batch and suffered serious yield reduction because of it.... However the stress caused at least one seed to be found, so far.... I'm actually kind of glad that I found this seed....cause I don't really know how old the mother clone I got of that particular strain is.... So if I can germ this one and define it as female, I'll know the clones are from a seed mother and not a clone mother....

I've kept a mother four 5 years. Shes gone now, but I can say a clone from a seed mama has more vigor than one from a mama as old as the one I kept for that long. Don't get me wrong though.. They were not weak plants. I just like a fresher mama these days. Who don't?

I am sure in this case it was stress that caused the seeds.
However, pollination can also occur without any mistakes, stress, or strain problems. I was reading an article a few years back that the pollen count in New York at that time was 70% marijuana! Pollen can travel many miles, so it is possible to get a seed here and there. Where I live there are most likely a lot of "gorilla grows" (outdoor in the woods and fields). Usually in the fall I will get a seed here and there. I presume it is from those outdoor grows.

Yes.. Because the stems will become stockier and sturdy! Just don't have it blowing them over where they have to spring back up. They could break at soil level or the lesser.. Bruise. Just kinda make them dancin' girls. Ya know what I mean?
