Hay weed. Thats why its crackling. Its caused by being to dry. If you've got a good fan in the room I doubt mold is the issue. During the last 2 or 3 weeks of budding its a good idea to keep the fan on 24/7, ecspecially with good tight buds.

It starts with the tips of the leaves getting pale and brittle and works its way into the bud at which point I have to cut it unless I want the bud to die as well. Does this look familiar to anyone?
